They suck, I had to get my self up after surgery because no nurse had come to get to walk. When I was discharged and it was time to go 45 minutes had passed and the mandatory wheelchair still wasn't there so I just walked out of the hospital.
Bad experience. |

The staff was wonderful. They were so nice and caring. Someone came and prayed with me and many offered encouragement and wished me much success in my weight loss journey. |

This hospital was beautiful, its staff was compassionate and they had free valet parking! I have never had a better experience anywhere. |
| Comments: |
I was amazed at the quality of care I received from everyone. From the operating room staff to the recovery room, to my floor room, everyone was professional and kind. They had my needs covered before I knew I had any. I would give the hospital a 10 on a scale of 1-5! I would give my surgeon a 20 on the same scale! |

| It has great preop and post op help |
| Comments: |
The stay was great until I got to my room. Although private very loud. THe nurses were very overworked and uncaring. This happened repeated over the day through the night I was in my room at 1230 in the afternoon and left around 1 the next day. I had to beg for pain medicine. I wouldnt see a nurse for hours. Your IV machine malfunctions and beeps really load.I spent the whole night up becasue it would go off about every 20 mintes. I would page the nurse it to no joke about 30-50 minutes on average for some one to shut them off It gave me a huge headache. The preop and post op was great just when you got to the room. You get feed really late there like breakfast is at 9-930 lunch was 1:30-2. I had to ask to go on a walk. I only got 3. It took someone 45 minutes to come unhook the leg compressons and iv machine from the wallso i could use the rest room. I almost didnt makeit. My father taked to the head nurse in the morning when he arrived and she said they were busy last night with the ER room. I dont know what to say much more but the up until the roomstay it was a 10 the nurses when I got to the room at 2 |

I'd never been admitted to a hospital before! |
| Comments: |
Negative: Parking can be a little tough sometimes, although not horrible. Pre-Op staff was invisible most of the time (my surgeon was delayed with his previous patient, so I spent six hours in Pre-Op with few updates). Rooms were small and the doors were left open most of the time, so even my private room was very noisy and not all that private - I could hear other patients constantly. Hospital feels in need of a renovation. There was a TV in the room, but with very limited channels and I never figured out how to turn it off! Nursing staff seemed a bit overworked.
Positive: Ward nurses were very kind and helpful, especially Rachel on the night shift. All bariatric patients have private rooms (just try to keep the door closed!). The hospital and staff are very well-prepared for bariatric patients.
Overall, it's not a very modern hospital and I don't know if I'd choose to go there again. However, the staff I encountered was uniformly good albeit overworked. |

| Good ratings, close to home, and drs H works out of there. Dr H is comfortable their and I wanted Dr. H comfortable. I didn't want to be his first patient at a new hospital he added to his practice. |

I have heard good and bad stories of much hospitals in the state it so depends on the nursing staff you get. I really felt like especially during the first 15 hrs post op that I have 20 nurses in and out of my room doing anything and everything they could do to help me. |

| My doctor gave me the choice of Washington Adventist or Holy Cross. Originally I wanted Holy Cross b/c its closer and a newer facility. But I didnt want to put off my surgery date so I went with Washington Adventist. And I am so glad I did. Everyone there was so friendly, professional and helpful. I mean everyone, the nurses, the doctors, the nutriotionist, the pyschiatrist, the support leaders. |
| Competitors: |
Recently I've had to Holy Cross and Children's Hospital and also delivered my daughters at Shady Grove. I would rate Washington Adventist as the BEST hospital by far. In order they would be Washington Adventist, Shady Grove, Children's and Holy Cross last. |
| Comments: |
I was told by one of the nurses that all bariatric patients receive their own private room because of the range of emotions we go through and at the doctors request. That was wonderful to have my own private room. |

I was only here for the sleep study, but there was no TV or anything they would not let me sit up and read and there was no privacy in getting your wires put on or anything else. Not a good experience at all. |

| Comments: |
Very self service. If my husband had not stayed with me, I am not sure what I would have done. I was vomitting alot and they did nothing. It took 7 hours to get the tongue sponge and some water. It took 5 hours to change my pain med that was making me vomit. They never cleaned my room during the entire 3 day stay. |

This hospital was just fine. Parking is limited though, so advise family members who will be visiting to plan extra time to find parking. The rooms were nice, I had a single room and it was clean and comfortable. |
| Comments: |
Prior to my surgery there were only two comments about this hospital. Both were negative, which concerned me. I found all the surgical staff and nurses to be very friendly and helpful. They responded to my calls very quickly and I had no problems at all, during my stay. |

This is the only hospital that I have had any experience with. |
| Comments: |
I thought that most of the nurses were incompetant and I didn't trust them at all. I was miserable the whole time I was in the hospital and the accomidations were horrible. The staff didn't help me with my pain AT ALL! I was allergic to the morphine and they didn't give me a substitute or anything to help alleviate my discomfort. I was extremely dissatisfied with the entire experience. |
