Dr. Gandsas is a Board Certified General Surgeon having graduated from
the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina.
Following his surgical residency at the North Oakland Medical Centers
in Pontiac, Michigan he completed an advanced laparoscopy fellowship at
Duke University Medical Center. He currently serves as an Assistant
Professor of Surgery at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
His interests include laparoscopic surgery, esophageal reflux disease,
spleen and adrenal disorders. Dr. Gandsas is currently establishing the
Center of obesity surgery at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Gandsas research is focused in using information technology
and web applications to enhance health care and medical education.
