Dr. Quebbemann is a Board Certified surgeon who became interested in surgery 
for obesity during medical school at The University of Minnesota. He then 
trained in the principles and techniques of modern Bariatric (weight control) 
surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery at The University of Chicago. Since 
entering practice in 1997, he has become very active in advanced laparoscopic 
surgery. Dr. Quebbemann is a member of SAGES, the major laparoscopic surgery 
society in America, and is a member of their credentials committee. He is also 
an active member the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, ASBS. He has
