Dr. Brathwaite is a kind, gentle hearted surgeon. I recommend him to anyone in the area considering this surgery.
His office staff is positive, patient and caring. His wife actually works in the office as a nurse practioner.
The only negative I have to say about him so far is, you WAIT a very LOooong time to get in. Many times I ahve had a scheduled appointment and wasn't seen by him for up to 2 1/2 hours. Hopefully this practice will change. Overall I am satisfied. Posted on 09/02/2008 |

I had my surgery ON march 19 2008 with DR.BRAITHWAITE. HE IS THE BEST. He is in
Winthrop Hospital now. I would follow him anywhere. He is very caring and there for you, If you need him.

Dr. Brathwaite is the most kind, compassionate surgeon! His bedside manner is beyond compare. I went through a very rough, scary patch in the hospital, but as soon as Dr. "B" came in and explained what was happening all my fear disappeared. Dr. "B" has a structured aftercare program, he address all the risks involved, I give him a big two thumbs up!!! His surgical competence, bedside manner are great. Dr. Brathwaite appeared confident and honest. Two traits I need my surgeon to have. He provided us with very clear to understand statistics abou WLS and willing to answer all questions during and after his WLS presentation.

I cant even put into words my impression with Dr. Brathwaite. He is everything that I wanted in a surgeon. The office staff is very tolerant. I call and call with questions and no one ever complains. There is nothing I didnt like about him. Others should know, that you should at least meet him, you will never go with anyone else. I cried in his office one day and he was just compassionate and sympathetic. He really does a thorough job in explaining before and afters. He addressed every aspect of wls & surgery in general. He is by far the best surgeon I have come in contact with. I have gone through 3 of them. You will just see how truly compassionate, caring, and sympathetic he his.

My Surgeon was a god send to me. he was my angel. He has hands of gold.
I was amazed at how he handled my bad situation and made it perfect.
Every one at the office is wonderful and very help ful. all supportave. always remembered you when you came in to have checkups.
He will never turn you away. never feel embaressed with him. His bedside manner is wonderful.
the aftercare is wonderful. they supply you with everything you need.

He is the most wonderful surgeon ever. Kind, compassionate, sincere, nice, intelligent, and respectful do not even begin to describe this wonderful man. I only have very small incisions, which are actually almost healed and it has only been three weeks. I have had no side problems, and this is a testament to his skill as a surgeon. His staff is wonderful and very helpful. I would rate him as a 120 on a scale from 1-10.
The profile page says to include negative things about the surgeon, that no one is 100% in all areas, but I don't have anything to say that is negative. Quite honestly he worked with a medical insurance that pays pennies on the dollar for me, he went to bat for me personally. For this surgeon it is truly about his patients, not the money. Dr. Brathwaite is a wonderful... [Click here for more] man. From my personal experience there is no better doctor.
