Dr. Fang is very quiet. His office staff was very unorganized and never returned phone calls, but that is something they are working on now. He has both surgical competence and bedside manner which are both very important. I give him a 10/10. I give the office staff a 5/10. Posted on 08/06/2008 |

Dr. Fang was very nice, calm, easy going, always smiling, good listener.
Staff has been very helpful and friendly. They have alot on their plate however, and I was very proactive in contacting them for info and surgery dates. It could take some time if I had waited to hear from them.
He will ask you first thing if you have any questions. Have your list ready. Posted on 03/04/2008 |

Dr. Fang is a God send, he was for me anyway. I have a lot of health risks. My PC was even shocked that he took me. From day one I just knew if I could get this surgery it would give me my life back. Thats all I wanted, was to have my life back. I am a single mother of four children. I missed so many games, awards dinners because I was in the hospital 3 weeks out of every month for the whole last year. At times it was hard for me to attend all the required classes and the phyic eval. But I made everyone one, no matter how short of breath I got. Dr Fang made me feel very confident about the surgery. Even though we both knew what a big risk it was going to be. He told me I would maybe come out on a ventilator, life support system. I knew I had to come out ok for I still have kids to... [Click here for more] raise. So with all the prayers and my determination, and having Dr Fang performing my surgery. I came out of surgery on my nasal cpap unit, I knew we made it. I had surgery on Tuesday, went home on Friday, went to a baby shower on saturday and a week later I was camping and riding along in a boat. My surgery was March 20th and I am down 70 pounds and I feel like a new person. Dr Fang gave me my life back.

Post Surgery: Dr Fang is a fantastic Dr. While he is quiet he is very personal. He was great when he broke the news to me about my cyst and immediately made sure I was set up with the right surgeon. Once i had my surgery, he took me back and he was great through my RYN and my post op so far.
Pre Surgery: While I haven't had the surgery yet, coming up on November 28th, Dr Fang has a great way of making you feel comfortable and answers all questions. He is the first to bring up the questions you want to know (including the scary death ones) so you feel he is not hiding anything. I'll update after surgery and let you know how that goes. Dr. Fang is very well spoken. I found him to be very professional. He didn't race through our meeting and he took the time to answer the questions I asked. Make sure you bring your questions written down to your appointment. It is so easy to forget the little things. Bring a tape recorder also to record his responses. I've learned that doctors tend to be very much to the point and you may need to reference back to his answers. They talk and think fast, and it is for the best!
The staff that I initially was introduced to were all very caring and took the time to help. The department that submits your information to your insurance company is seriously lacking. They only have one woman working it and I think she just really needs help with the burden. It set me back on my... [Click here for more] surgery date quite a bit but after speaking with the office manager everything was completely worked out and she made everything run smooth. My advice! Take care of your medical information. Go directly to your insurance company and ask exactly what they are requiring. Do not let the surgeon's office send out the information until it is complete. Ask to be notified before anything is sent off to your insurance company and keep your fingers crossed because once you have been denied by your insurance company, Dr. Fang's office will not resubmit anything more to them in your favor. "It gets to messy and we just don't do it" was the comment I received from the submitting department. Thank the stars for Jennifer!

I did not have a good experince however, I do not wish to share. I am sure that my circumstances are totally different from anyone elses. Lots of people in waiting area had nice things to say. :) Posted on 07/13/2007 |

My First impression was that he was competent.
His staff is very rude and cold towards you, but he comes very highly recommended. The wait time in his office is horrific, but again I will trade the bad for the way he comes recommended. Posted on 07/13/2007 |

Dr. Fang is a very quiet man. I knew of him because he also did surgery on my sister a year before I had mine. He answers all questions and doesn't rush.
His staff is very helpful and patient.
There's really nothing I don't like about him.
Aftercare is a wonderful program at St. Luke's Hospital. There are support groups meeting once a month and always someone you can call with any question.
He told me all the risks and benefits.
I would refer anyone to him for this surgery.
His surgical competence does exceed his bedside manner, due to his quietness. Posted on 06/25/2007 |
