Read my profile to find out what I think of him and his staff. My Attorney will not let me comment any further, until this matter is cleared up.    Posted on 02/20/2003

that he is a kind caring dr. My impression of dr jacobs has not changed. Some of the office staff could have been a little more pleasant. That at my intial consult, because paperwork hadn't been sent to me prior to my visit, my time was a little short due to other appts. Dr Jacobs is no longer in Nebraska. Dr Jacobs and his staff try to make sure that you understand the risks as well as the benefits of surgery. They want to also make sure that you are going into this procedure with eyes wide open that you don't believe that this is the miracle cure to obesity that you know that this IS just a TOOL. You do still have to work and it is hard work but worth every little bit of pain and "what not". My only regret is that he is gone now to North Carolina and not here for my aftercare.... Very knowledgeable about the surgery proceedures and very friendly. Hasn't changed. Very friendly. Is moving. That he will no longer be located in Omaha, NE. Very important about following aftercare. Yes. Yes. On a scale from 1-10...He's a 10!! Both!    Posted on 12/19/2002

My first impression was a fantastic one. He was truly caring and answered anything and was extremely encouraging. The Program Director, Michelle, is great. She's straight forward and to the point, and helps in any way possible. She's extremely overwhelmed at the moment, but like I said, she does what she can for EVERYONE. Dr. Jacobs, Dr. White and Michelle all emphisized risks, after care, before care, and every part of the surgery. If I had any questions, there was no problems with asking them, no matter how personal they were. I would rate the whole staff wonderful!!!    Posted on 11/15/2002

I MET DR JACOBS IN JUNE 02 AND HE WAS VERY PLEASANT AND SINCERE. I FIND HIS OFFICE STAFF TO BE EFFECIENT AND VERY KIND TO ME. i HAD DIFFICULTY WITH MY PRIMARY DR. STATING THAT THIS SURGERY IS BARBARIC AND MY MEDICATIONS COULD NOT BE CONVERTED TO LIQUID.I SPOKE WITH DR JACOBS BARIATRIC COORDINATOR (MICHELLE) AND SHE GAVE ME THE NAMES OF 4 DRS. THAT WOULD BE MORE HELPFUL. I CHOOSE A FEMALE DR. CLOSE TO HOME AND I AM EVER SO IMPRESSED AND PLEASED WITH HER SUPPORT. DR.JACOBS HAS A SUPPORT GROUP FOR THOSE GOING INTO SURGERY AND A POST OP SUPPORT GROUP ALSO. THE RISK ARE CLEARLY DEFINE AND YOU SHOULD ALSO CHECK OUT THE INTERNET. MY RISK OF DYING FROM MY CURRENT HEALTH PROBLEMS ARE MORE THAN FROM THE SURGERY, I DO BELIEVE. AFTER SURGERY, I CAN TELL LYOU MORE.    Posted on 10/12/2002

My first impression was in the waiting room, before seeing Dr. Jacobs. I loved the way he had extra large chairs and benches for his patients. I thought, "If this guy understands being heavy enough to pay attention to details like this, then he is one cool dude. (I hope that doesn't sound stupid.) I just hate not fitting into a chair. When I met Dr. Jacobs, I was very, very pleased. If you read the bio's on is other patients we all seem to say the same things: 1)Chief of Surgery for Creighton University (Not that's what I call credentials!!) 2) gave me as much time as I wanted to visit with him. 3) Very knowledgable and friendly. 4) I have Fibromyalgia and can't eat Gluten. He and his staff have been very accomidating for my special dietary needs: (no wheat, oats, barley or... [Click here for more]

Very knowledgable and kind. Had many patients to see, but spent a lot of time answering all my questions. Didn't sugarcoat aftercare...His office staff is GREAT!!! I can't say enough good things about his program coordinator, Michelle. She has answered all my questions promptly and professionally...she really makes me feel like she's an ally in everything-has helped me through some insurance woes...I only wish I would have called Dr. Jacobs first. His aftercare program is really good. Lots of support groups offered, and I always feel like I can contact his staff if I need extra advice.    Posted on 07/30/2002

5/22/02 My husband and I met with Michelle Fisher, Bariatric Coodinator for Dr. Jacobs office today. From our personal experience we think that Michelle is Fantastic!!! She's extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and inspiring. She answered all our questions thoroughly which helped me put my fears into perspective. She really encourages educating yourself as much as you can and coming to the support group meetings often. I am looking forward to meeting with Dr. Jacobs on October 4th, and although a part of me wishes it was sooner, I understand that this time is important for me to make sure that I am at peace with my decision to have surgery and to prepare myself for the changes to come. I will continue to attend the support group meetings and I will post more in October after... [Click here for more]

The first time I met Dr Jacobs I was very impressed with the time he takes with patients. He hasn't changed a bit overtime only gotten better. I felt very well cared for during my hospital stay. My post op visits have been very informative and the caring is still apparent. Michelle Fisher is a added bonus at Dr Jacobs office. She does all the ground work and really is a wonderful patient advocate. She is really concerned about the patient, and follows up beautifully. I Thank God everyday for my new lease on life and leading me to Dr Jacobs office. PS He is a wonderful surgeon and makes a beautiful incision that heals wonderfully. The post op support groups are informative and personel.    Posted on 03/06/2002

My first impression of him was my what a tall man and such big hands but very intelligent, and considerate and helpful and full of information, he never left nothing out and made sure he answered all your questions. The more I visited with him and talked with him I felt more comfortable and secure with my decision to go forward with the surgery. The office staff is very friendly and understand you. There was nothing I didn't like about him. That he is very trusting and that he makes sure he knows every little detail about your medical history before he does the surgery, that is why it is very very important not to leave out anything about your medical history on you or your family if you don't know ask a family member. He strongly tells you to follow his instructions to the T because... [Click here for more]
