My first impression of my Dr. Crist was that he was really nice. He took time to explain this to me and did't seem to be in a hurry to get to the next patient like alot of other doctors. I didn't feel rushed at all. My impression of him never changed. He is the best Doctor that I know of. He makes it personal, you get the feeling that he really cares. He makes you feel so make at ease although you are so nervous.Dr. Crist emphasizes a great deal about aftercare. He explains it in a way that you really understand the importance of it. When I had my first office visit with him we sat and talked what seemed like 2 hours about risk of surgery. I guess I had alot of questions too. but he never rushed through anything I asked. He always made sure I understood all the answers that he had... [Click here for more] for me. I would rate Dr. Crist as being the best surgeron of all times!! He has literaly saved my life. His surgical competence and bedside manner is unsurpassed. I would recommend this Doctor to everyone!!! Forgot to mention that while I was in the hospital he was making his rounds and came and sat down on the bed beside me. He gently held my hand and asure me everything was going to be just fine for me not to worry a bit. After he came and talked with me for a while , you wouldn't believe how Great I felt. I have nothing negative to say about him. He met and exceeded my every expetations. Email me if you have any questions I will gladly answer.

I've met Dr. Crist for another medical condition , not related to gastric bypass. It was then, on that particular appointment, I questioned him on my interest in the surgery. He was very patient and took time to see if I qualified, and even had me get scheduled for my consultation earlier. Im sure here soon, I'll get to know him alittle better, but have been told he's great, and a perfectionist. Posted on 12/02/2003 |

My first impression of Dr. Crist was that he was quiet but serious about his job. I would rather have a man who is serious and quiet than someone joking around about the surgery. My impressions have only grown more positive about him. I look forward to my follow up appointments and speaking with him. His office staff is nothing but nice and complimentary. From the receptionist to his nurses, everyone is great. I can't say anything negative about Dr. Crist. He is just a wonderful surgeon. Patients of his should know that he is a kind, gentle man with excellent bedside manners. You will be very pleased with this doctor. I would recommend him to anyone looking to have this surgery. He greatly emphasizes the aftercare program and to follow it strictly. Dr. Crist addressed... [Click here for more] the issue of risks just as any other doctor would. There are risks in every surgery you do. From wisdom teeth extraction to gastric bypass. There are always risks. On a scale of 1 to 10, I rate Dr. Crist an 11. His surgical competence and his bedside manner were excellent! I can't say enough positives about Dr. Crist.

My first visit with Dr. Crist was rather nice. He was very attentive and answered every questions with assurance. During my hospital stay he was the greatest. Never in a hurry and always sitd down and gives you time to go over anything you need to. He also cares very much about his patient's care. Dr. Crist office staff if kind and courteous and is on top of the office. I trusted Dr. Christ from the first moment I met him. He gives you the feeling and shows you he cares about you as an individual. Aftercare, aftercare program and surgery risks are dealt with continually from his first preop visit. I don't know what your rating scale consists of but I can tell you that he would top off any scall as the best.
He is great at anything he does. Posted on 06/11/2003 |

My first impression of Dr. Crist was that he had a wonderful bedside manner and truly cares about his patients. He explained the surgery to me by drawing pictures and speaking in layman's terms. The office staff are friendly and helpful.
Dr. Crist came to visit with me in the hospital each day following surgery. I know doctors must do "rounds" and see their patients, but he would actually "visit," sit and talk, check my incisions, and discuss things with my family.
He emphasized aftercare and made sure I had everything I needed when I got home. He reviewed what my eating habits would be, etc. again right before I left he hospital. When I had a few minor complications at home (dehydration, etc.), he made sure I was contacted daily by staff to ensure I was getting better.... [Click here for more] Dr. Crist has both the bedside manner and surgical competence I needed for my surgery. He is HIGHLY recommended!!

The first time I met Dr. Crist (day of preop Dec. 31,2002) I was immediately comfortable with him. He is very soft spoken. He described the surgery to me and drew pictures of the procedure for me. He told me that he was a perfectionist and for me not to worry, to leave the worrying to him. I've spoken to some nurses who work on the floor where I will be and they tell me he is a very good doctor. The office staff are great! I'll add more after my surgery tomorrow. (1-10-03)
01-15-03 Dr. Crist is the most attentive, caring doctor I have ever been to. He came to see me several times a day when I was in the hospital. He's the kind of doctor you feel totally comfortable talking to about anything. I can't say anything negative about him. I'm so glad I picked him to do my surgery! Posted on 01/15/2003 |

My first impression of Dr Engler was wonderful. He is a very personable man. He took his time with me and answered all of my questions. He dictated the letter to the insurance company in my presence and it sounded great. He is very dedicated to his job.
His office staff is great too. The insurance company did not receive my letter, therefore, Lou, from his office, called the insurance company and I was approved in 2 days. They are super.
*** I had my first visit with Dr. Crist on 8/14/02. He was great. He took his time and explained everything to me. We even decided at that time to do my surgery Lap instead of open which made me very happy! He is a very caring and kind gentleman. Posted on 08/15/2002 |
