Dr.CLOUGH WAS THE BEST HE HELPED ME SO MUCH THUR OUT THE PROGRAM. ME AND MY FAMILY OWE HIM SO MUCH THANKS. FIRST IMPRESSION: HE DIDN'T LOOK AT ME LIKE I WAS JUST A FAT PERSON WITH NO FEELINGS BUT, INSTEAD LIKE I WAS PART OF THE HUMAN RACE. THANKS FOR THAT. NO MY IMPRESSION HAS NEVER CHANGED! THE OFFICE WAS AS FRIENDLY AS THEIR JOB REQUIRES. What should future patients know about him/her? HE CAN BE HARD IF YOU DON'T CARE WHAT HE HIS TRYING TO GET YOU TO UNDERSTAND.SO PAY CLOSE ATTENION. How much does he/she emphasize aftercare? IT IS ONE FOR THE MOST IMP.PARTS OF THE PROGRAM How did he/she address the risks of surgery? HE SAID THAT THERE WAS A CHANCE THAT I WOULD DIE BUT LIKE I TOLD HIM I ALREADY WAS CAUSE I WASN'T LIVING BEING SO BIG .I COULDN'T EVEN DO MUCH. Which is better,... [Click here for more]

My first impression of him was wow, what a great Dr. He was very thorough, kind and right to the point...Office staff were also very helpful and kind, more than I can say for my insurance company who only gave me the run around...I called today, June 18th to make sure they got it, and they couldn't tell me anything, whereas, Northeast surgery looked it up and told me I had been approved today June 18th..Yeah...My surgery is July 29...Wish me luck...    Posted on 06/18/2008

I thought he was very proffesional and very nice.rnThe office staff seemed very friendly and got all my appointments ready without wait.I feelrnthat he takes his job very seriously, he doesn't hesitate to tell you the risks and benefits of the surgery, he shows you exactly what he is doing for your surgery with a graph and explains it all so you can understand also he doesn't make you feel like he is rushing you out the door like some do cause of high clientelle. He is very strong about the aftercare and follow up with all appts. He started doing the surgery in 1979 and has done many and he said that aftercare is very important for long term success. I think he is a very good doctor and would recommend him to any of my loved ones. He is surgically competent and his bedside manner... [Click here for more]

In the short time that I met with my surgeon I felt even more confident with the surgery, he was very informative and a very nice man.    Posted on 05/03/2007

Dr Clough was very nice and answered all of our questions regarding my upcomming surgery. He and his staff were very helpfull both before and after. The program in Maine is a Center of Excellence, only given to programs that excel in this feild, and everyone I saw was very informative and encouraging. As far as the risks of having OGBP, they informed to the point of really making you think twice about haveing the surgery, but that was a good thing.    Posted on 03/12/2007

Today I went to see Dr. Clough, he was a very nice guy. Very thorough surgeon. He went over the whole procedure including risks and benefits. He also had a pamphlet which he went over with me that was published by the Association of Bariatric Surgeons which went over the RNY procedure. He said that I was a good candidate, and that now he would be making up the necessary insurance information. He emphasized that aftercare is very important, and he also let me know that my vitamin levels would be checked at 6 months, 12 months, and 18 months, too make sure that they are all fine and that nothing is going wrong there. His office staff was also very helpful and nice to me. He was very good on talking through everything with me. And I think that he is very surgical competant, and I feel... [Click here for more]
