Dr. Johnson was a kind and gentle. The Dr. was waiting in my room after I was discharged and had to be remitted in 24 hrs. This was at 9 pm. The office staff are nice and respectful. I would give him a 10 out of 10. Dr, Johnson was great and really cares about his patients.    Posted on 09/22/2008

My first impression was that Dr Johnson reminded me of Mr Bean! Dr. Johnson also has a fun sense of humor so it wasnt much of a stretch :). He was also my sisters Dr a year prior so I knew I was in good hands. The nurses were great and very supportive but the a few of the office staff could be a bit nicer...the day of my MMPI test, I apparently was taking too long and the woman actually stood out side my door making throat clearing noises and kept interuppting me to tell me I needed to hurry it up as it was five o clock. First of all I had to only redo one part of the test per the pych guy and was given an hour, it was ten minutes to five and she started in on me...I know I like to get out of work on time but that doesnt always happen so chill lady huh? The person answering the... [Click here for more]

Dr. Johnson was very nice, he made me feel comfortable right away. My husband was with me and any questions we had he answered and seemed to have alot of time for us. When it surgery day, he again came in and talked to me asked if there were any last minute questions we had. He is a very gentle man. I would recommend him to anyone.    Posted on 03/26/2008

I had a great first impression of Dr. Johnson and he continues to impress me with his wealth of knowledge and caring manner in general. D. Johnson gave me his pager number so I can call him any time I need to; also, I have called him with questions and he was more then willing to stay on the line with me to explain everything. He also THANKS me for calling him and says that if I need anything else to not worry about calling. I feel at ease with him and he REALLY cares about me and my health. One thing future patients should know about Dr. Johnson is that he is very serious about following the wonderful plan that Unity has to offer; if you follow the plan you'll be successful! Dr. Johnson emphasizes aftercare prior surgery, the day of surgery, and every other time I've seen... [Click here for more]

Dr. Frederick W. Johnson The very first moment I met Dr. Johnson I was impressed with him. I was afraid I would not be a candidate for the lap band or any bariatric surgery as I weighed 208# and to many I "appeared" to not be an acceptable candidate. I am 5'2" and when my BMI was calculated I was 38 plus I have diabetes, hypertension, high colesterol, oeteo-arthritis in my knees and hips, etc. Dr. Johnson assured me I am a good candidate for the RNY surgery and as I was concerned as to whether he would be able to operate be- cause of my hernia surgical scar on my abdomen between my upper chest to my pelvis area. He did talk of the possibility of scar tissue interfering with part of the RNY surgery but that being a problem was rare. I am looking forward to my surgery... [Click here for more]

I chose Dr Johnson when I saw he was a part of this group because he had taken my gallbladder out in 1995 and I really like him then. He was and still is very up front about everything and while he doesn't sugar coat things he is not condescending about it either. He is very caring and gives his personal pager number to his patients so I could call him whenever I needed. His staff is just as nice. They are always availible for questions and concerns. They were so through with the prep that I have not needed to call with concerns post op because I knew just what to expect. After care is a requirement and it is very structured. I was asked to sign a contract agreeing to it, which made me a little nervous at first. However, the after care has been looking for and heading off potential... [Click here for more]

Dr. Johnson has an incredibly caring, compassionate personality. He is very gentle and thorough. He made certain that I understood that this surgery is NOT a "quick-fix," and that how successful it is or isn't will end up depending upon ME. He also has a good sense of humor and I felt extremely comfortable and safe in his very competent hands. Thank you Dr. Johnson!    Posted on 01/06/2008
