Dr. Harris is a quiet man of very few words. His staff is wonderful.    Posted on 06/20/2008

I really liked Dr. Harris when I met him at the first seminar. He was serious about the procedure and the possible complications, gave reasoning for being obese, and most of all, his experience with his WLS. His staff is very kind and caring, and they make you feel like you are their only patient. They all take the time to answer any questions you may have, and they do a awesome job preparing your information for insurance approval.    Posted on 01/08/2008

Dr. Harris is a wonderful surgeon. My first impression was during his seminar he was very knowledgable about the surgery, the risks, and most importantly displayed his own "record". As surgery approached he took the time to go over any questions that arose. His staff is wonderful and called many times after the surgery to see if I had any questions or problems. I would do this surgery again in a heartbeat and would only go to Dr. Harris.    Posted on 01/08/2008

I met with Dr. Harris initially for the seminar which was very informative. I then had my consultation, he was very matter of fact, he didn't chit-chat a whole lot, but answered my questions. Dr. Harris is very informed and extremely cautious and I have 100% faith in him as a surgeon.    Posted on 07/18/2007

When I first met Dr. Harris it was at a semenar about the surgery, he told us about how he himself has had this done and how well it has worked for him. I thought that it was very helpfull to hear that becuase its easier to trust someone with your life when you know that they have been there and that they understand all the crap that you are gunna go through. He has changed alot since I first met him to now he is MUCH smaller. I think that before his surgery he looked like Santa, and now he looks like a cute little elf! I love him! haha He has done over 1,000 surgeries and I am pretty sure he could do it with his eyes closed but i hope he never does! haha He was on Discovery Health channel becuase he performed the surgery on a "One Ton Man" which was one of the first episodes that... Dr. Harris is an excellent surgeon. He did my open RNY, colonostomy, panniculectomy, hernia repair, xyphoid process resection and lysis of adhesions. I completely trust his skill and judgement. He also has an excellent staff. I am so happy with my life now. I feel great and owe a lot of that to Dr. Harris.    Posted on 03/18/2007

Dr. Harris might be more familiar to you than you think. He has been on the Discovery Health Channel program. The story is about the life of Patrick Duel who had Dr. Harris as his surgeon. Dr. Harris and his staff are very helpful in preparing you for this surgery. They have you attend a three to four hour inservice on what to expect from the beginning to the end of your surgery. Later you attend another three hour session with a dietitican who explains in detail about your hospital stay and what foods you'll be eating there after. The best part about the surgery was I didn't have any real pain to speak of. Two hours after surgery I was walking around the nurses station. To my surprise I went home without having to take pain pills. This was my own personal experience having... [Click here for more]

Precise and to the point. He tells you how it is and doesn't hold back. I like that. He knows what it is about, he has had gastric bypass himself. So he has lived both ways, overweight and lighter. I encourage others to see him, he is great.    Posted on 05/19/2006

Dr Harris and his staff are very knowledgable on Gastric Bypass and I feel very comfortable about putting my life in their hands. He is straight and to the point. He isnt a man of many words but that is ok. He will answer your questions honestly and give you the facts. When you see Dr Harris you have to go thru lots of education. I feel like I know EVERYTHING i need to know after 3 days with the staff. Sheila, Kay and Kristin are GREAT!    Posted on 03/26/2006

My first impression of my surgeon was WOW! He had a gastric done as well and was a living example of what I was going to be going through. I still have that impression of him. He is wonderful and so is his Staff. I can't say that there is anything I liked least about him. He is down to eath and tells it like it is. He has a wonderful sense of humor nad makes you feel like a real poerson when he talks to you. Dr. Harris has been through the surgery himself so he has GREAT Empathy for what we are going through and can understand from a personal level. When he says" I know exactly how you feel" it isn't just words. HE has a very structured after care program and he insists that you follow it. He has a personal dietition that you will work with as well. One of his nursing staff are... [Click here for more]
