I just want to say my surgeon was polite, professional, and had very good bedside manner. He attended to my every need and made sure I understood everything that was going on. I love my surgeon! Posted on 09/06/2008 |

I must say that Dr. Schroder is the "BEST" in his field. Not only is he an excellent surgeon but he is a great person. A doctor that goes that extra mile. I could tell by the sparkle in his ey that it was going to be a joyful journey down the weight loss path. Posted on 06/11/2008 |

Dr Schroder is a mild mannered easy going doctor. He doesn't sugar coat anything but he's kind and honest in anwering any questions. His staff have all been great, my only dislike is how busy his office is but that is just because they do just a great job they keeping getting more patients! They work with the local hosptials and have multi support groups each month. I recommend Dr. Schroder to anyone. Posted on 04/20/2008 |

I have attended one seminar so far and I really like this doctor. I am waiting on blood work to come back to see if I have a co-morbidity so my insurance will cover this.
1/22/08 - I have been approved! I am now waiting for the call to schedule my surgery.
I was approved after my first letter. The dr's office had experiences where a comorbidity was needed with a BMI over 40. Not the case for me. I have the beginnings of a few, but not full blown yet. I also have UHC Insurance. Posted on 01/27/2008 |

Dr. Schroder was recommended to me by the nurse at my family doctor's office. She had Dr. Schroder for her gastric bypass a few years ago and she spoke very highly of him. I really like him and think he has a great, caring personality. He reminds me of Gene Simmons and I told him so right before my surgery! The only drawback I can see to using him or his office is that they are always super-crowded and you often experience long wait times. Overall, I would definitely recommened him for your WLS. Dr. Schroder was very supportive of my decision to have surgery. He did everything he could with my insurance to make the surgery happen, and he was very straightforward with all of the possible risks and complications of the Lap-Band surgery. I was also impressed that he managed to find the time to visit me right before my surgery, especially since he had just completed another surgery right before my own. Overall, a very competent doctor that knows exactly what he's doing. Posted on 07/18/2007 |

I love Dr. Schroder. He has been wonderful everytime I met him. I began my WLS journey with him just over 3 years ago. He is a big fan of the Lap-Band and offered me information that changed my mind from having the RNY and having the Lap-Band instead. He never said don't get this, he just offered a lot of clincal info showing why he thought the banding was better for me. I am really happy with the decision to have the Lap-Band. He has been really suportive. Seeing him has become much easier now that he has 2 partners in his practice. My surgery in set for July 19th and I know that he will take good care of me! I will report back after the actually surgery and let you know how everything has gone. In the begining I had trouble with getting them to submit my insurance info... [Click here for more] correctly. Whether it was because of the mistakes or just that Aetna is just cheap and selfish I will never know but I am paying for the surgery myself.

I met with him yesterday, 12/14/06 for my consult. He is very nice and honest. He answered my questions promptly and very straight forward. I could tell he leaned more towards the lapband but did state the decision in the end is one that I will have to make based on what I think is right for me. I have 3 friends who have had the RNY by him and all sing his praises. None of them have had any complications post-op.
3/28/07-My surgery was 3/26 and I cannot imagine any other surgeon as my doctor. Dr. Schroder is great. He genuinely cares about his patients and he has great bedside manners. He holds your hand and looks you in the eyes when he's talking to you. He's very honest and upfront. Posted on 04/01/2007 |

In My Own Words from the time of Seminar, to Consult to Now I can See How busy the Office Dr. Schroder has become...and Just how Popular Lap Band really is~! in the Last year especially.!! With that being said at first impression of Dr. S at Seminar I started to like him... he was very Informative with a quick Wit/humor to lighten things up a bit as well..~ And although not banded yet (March 8th..) they seem to have an Effective Aftercare program as well..~ I have personally spoken to a few of his Former Patients and Have Heard Only Excellent reviews and comments and Praises about Surgeon Dr. Schroder.. and I feel my success with him and his staff will Prove to be worth all of the... [Click here for more] hard work!! Thank You! to Joyce , Deb, Dawn, Megan and everyone..~!
