Dr. Babineau is a very proffesional and considerate doctor. I had a minor complication from my surgery and it was resolved without too much difficulty. The actual surgery was uneventful and my problem didn't result from any fault of the physician. Posted on 03/06/2010 |

My first impression was, he sure looks young, but thats not a bad thing...Dr. B is very professional, yet approachable, very kind and detail oriented. I like that.
Dr. B's staff is amazing, at first I wasnt sure about Frieda, but now I wanna take her home with me...I love her, and I told her so...There is nothing at this point that I like least about anything that ive been through.
Future patients should know that this is an awesome experience and Dr.B and his staff are just as awesome.
The aftercare program is terrific, Lindsey has the patience of Job, Im gonna take her home with me too...lol
Cathy Wade is so professional and explains and listens to everything you say or ask...I knew full well what my risks of surgery were before I ever entered the WLS journey, I cant remember... [Click here for more] if Dr. B added anything to the knowledge, he didnt try to scare me, I had full faith in his abilities to do a great revision.
My overall rating on a scale of 1-10 is definatley a "10"
I think Dr. B's surgical competence and bedside manner are both great...

My first impression of Dr. Babineau was that he sure is skinny!! He looks like a marathon runner or bicycle racer. He is very handsome with blond long hair that he wore in a pony tail. He was very friendly, a little quiet acting, but very gentle and took his time to answer all questions and was very informative. He explained that he has performed at least 2000 gastric bypass surgeries so that made me feel very comfortable right off the bat. I would want a surgeon with surgical competence over bedside manner, but I think I have found both in Dr. Babineau. I have my surger on 10/30/09 so I will know more after that!! Dr. Babineau is the best. I had Rnx-y on 9/4/2008. I had absolutely no problems or complications. Freida, one of his nurses is the best,Cathi Wade-NP is awesome, Lisa Losack his OR nurse is great. Teresa, and the rest of the office managers are so friendly. He has great bedside manners and a great personality. It takes someone very special and dedicated to their work to want to help morbidly obese people. He is my angel.

Dr. Babineau and his staff are absolutely wonderful. He is very thorough in his seminars. Judging from how I have felt following surgery, he is a truly gifted surgeon. I feel I was well prepared and have had no problems following the surgery. Posted on 04/22/2009 |

I was banded in March of 2009 by Dr. Babineau. Everything went very well. I had confidence that he would do a good job and all has gone well.
The only complaint I have is that the post-op Pain medication I was given to take at home was NOT strong enough for my needs. Other people will probably not have this issue, but it was significant for me.
I've been back for a 2 week post op check, then at 6 weeks. Sometimes it's difficult to get an appointment exactly when you need it, but I've learned to deal with that by making appointments way ahead, and canceling 48 or more hours in advance if I don't need them.
I've not seen Dr. B. since surgery, other than passing him in the hallway, but that is fine with me as I'm not having issues that need his attention.
I've had fills... [Click here for more] done by Cathy and Lisa, both are great to work with. Have yet to go to a support group meeting, inconvenient for me, but am doing well without them.
Would I do this again? In a minute (but would insist on better pain coverage).

I went to his seminar. He was shy but was very informative. He talked about both the lapband and the gastric bypass with the risk and complications that could occur. His office staff was very friendly and helpful. I just had my lapband surgery on 11/6/08 so I really can't tell you anything that I like the least about him. His staff handed out a folder with everything that a person needed to know about the beginning of the process, including insurance, everything regarding surgery and even aftercare. Yes he has an aftercare program but I have not taken advantage of it at this time. his surgical competence is awesome. I work for 3 psychiatrists and they all talk about him and that he is the best bariatric surgeon around. I feel that if he was not quite as shy that his bedside manner... [Click here for more] would be awesome as well.

I switched from another doctor after hearing - and seeing - such great things about Dr. Babineau from his patients. He is a quiet man, but very calm and knowledgable. And he does have a funny little sense of humor that I like. When I was waiting to go into surgery, he stopped in to say hi and see if I had any more questions. I was already feeling a little silly from the shot they gave me, so I asked him what time he went to bed the night before. He just grinned and then calmly answered what time and that he was feeling very rested and good. I liked that he went along with the joke rather than be stuffy. rnHis staff is excellent. I felt so well cared for in the hospital. I had to stay an extra day because my blood pressure spiked a little. Dr. Babineau and other members of... [Click here for more] his staff came by each day to check on me and before releasing me. In the nearly three months since my surgery, I have never had any difficulty getting my questions answered (and I had a LOT at the beginning) and never felt I was bothering them or wasting their time. I just highly recommend him.
