When I first met Dr. Sebesta I knew he was the surgeon for me. He smiled and was happy and very confident in what he was capable of doing. His residents were usually very nice.
One of them could work on his bedside manner just a bite. But all in all they were great. They emphasize how important walking was and so as soon as I could hold me head up I put on my shoes and got to walking! My after care was very well they were always there when I needed them. We was very knowledge able in explaining the risk with the surgery and explained how he does his best to prevent them. I would recommend Dr. Sebesta over and over again! Posted on 05/22/2008 |

Dr Sebesta was wonderful. I would recommend him to anyone who is apprehensive about having the surgery. I truly believe he saved my life. He was honest and straightforward but has an amazing bed-side manner that I find missing in many doctors. There is nothing I dislike about him. He cares about his patients and always makes time and doesn't treat you just like a case but rather like a person. He is adamant about proper aftercare. He is very professional and thorough. Dr. Sebesta, is great,,paient and kind...he listen to me panic about things I did't expect...always in his calming way... with a smile on his face...I felt very lucky to have him has my surgeon...seeing him was always a pleasure...for me he always had a small...I tried to think of something negative I just could'nt...thanks Dr. Sesbesta for doing such a good job on me... Dr Sebesta is just awsome. He is there for me. Anytime I need a question answered of if I need to get in to see him. He explained everything to me and made sure I undetstood what I was getting myself into. Anyone who is lucky enough to have Dr Sebesta as their surgeon is in very good hands. Posted on 01/20/2008 |

Dr. Sebesta is my hero, lol. He has a great bedside manner, honest face, and understands the needs of his patients. I hated a few of his interns, but with training from him, they will be great! He ALWAYS sees me, whenever I need, he will take time out to talk, if I have questions or concerns. He's very practical, professional, and gifted. I give him a 10!! Posted on 01/08/2008 |

My inital impression of Dr. Sebesta was that he was very professional, kind, listened and made me feel as if he cared about the journey I was about to take with the weight loss surgery. Most doctors just rush you in and out. We fully dicussed the risks and what to expect after surgery.
The staff at Madigan Hospital was very professional. I was informed and required to attend an educational program pre-surgery. I also attended a support group. I am glad the program was in place so I would prepared mentally for the physical changes I would undergo. I was always treated with respect. Post surgical care was a better experience that when I had my kids. Anytime I had a question I could go to surgery and speak with a nurse the same day.
I disliked the fact Dr.Sebesta has to leave... [Click here for more] Madigan for another assignment for a few months. It was hard enough to get an appoingtment within a month of the date I call.
I would highly reccomend him as a surgeon. Overall I would rate him a 10. I showed him I was truly interested in succeeding and attended the appointment with questions. He was very competent with great bedside manners. My personal experience with Dr. Sebesta was a positive one.

I didn't find out until the last minute that Dr. Sebesta was going to be my surgeon. He was great. He went over everything and wanted to be sure I was completely prepared. He even drew a picture of the procedure on the paper on the exam table!! He came by several times a day while I was in the hospital to check on me. He was adamant about walking after surgery. I was up and walking after 4 hours. At my first post-op appointment he was very attentive and answered all of my questions. At the second one he was so proud of my progess.
