Dr. Jan is an amazing surgeon. The first appointment we had with him he answered all of my questions plus some. The funny thing I had to get around was that he isn't so "personable" if you know what I mean? I'm used to my family doc who will sit down and have a conversation with you. But, as I've heard over and over... surgeons are just like this. To the point. I never once felt Dr. Jan didn't care, I felt he cared a lot in fact. I am very appreciative to him and his staff and thankful for all of his knowledge and the way he handled my questions... even the stupid ones I asked. Posted on 05/07/2008 |

Felt very comfortable with him on our first meeting. Surgery completed and my opinion hasn't changed. Dr. Jan is a great surgeon, who makes his patients feel at ease. Never felt like he was looking down on me, etc. Also, he does great work! I'm healing quite nicely! Posted on 02/08/2008 |

I met Dr Jan and he is very nice...very young but I trust him. Don't know yet when my surgery will be scheduled because they still have to submit the paperwork to the insurance for approval..why does this take sooo long? I am ready and waiting. I even told them that I am so flexible that if anyone else cancels their surgery they could just call me! Posted on 01/18/2008 |

I really like Jay, Jan. I felt he really cared about me as a person. He has been there no matter what I needed or if I had more qustions. I would send my own family to him. My cutes were small and no bruses. He came in everyday at the hospital to see how I was doing. If I need pain meds he would put them on there. I felt I was in great hands and I was...Now as far as his staff well thats diffrent. Most are very nice but one should not be working in front office. As that is my personal impressions But lets face it there is always one. . Overall it is a great place to be and have beside you. had surgeon consult on aug;6th 2007.i really liked him and the staff. they make sure that you understand the surgery, what your part is in losing and keeping weight off, the risk, and whats going to change in your life to accomplish your goal.they make sure all your questions are answered and have patience when you want to rush things and get to the surgery!the office staff is very friendly and helpful! everyone makes sure you understand the surgery and life after it!cant wait to get to the surgery part! I had my lapband surgery on Aug. 14th. Dr. jan was very nice. I don't remember seeing much of him on surgery day, but I do remember him telling me that he had found and repaired a small hiatle hernia while he was in there. He also came to check on me the day of my release from the hospital. I have nothing but nice things to say about him so far! Posted on 08/16/2007 |

Dr. Jan is young but very good. He has been a tremendous help and his staff are very knowledgeable. He is strictly business but does have a sense of humor.
