Dr. Naim received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Southern California in Los Angeles, with Departmental Honors. He then completed his medical training at competitive and prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in New York City with Distinction in Research. This was followed with four years of training in General Surgery which concluded with an additional year as Chief Surgical Resident at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. His interest in Weight Loss Surgery took him to another year of Fellowship training in University Medical Center at Princeton, under direction of world renowned Bariatric surgeon, Robert E. Brolin, MD.
Subsequently in 2004 he started his practice in the Los Angeles area. His love in field of surgery and surgical weight loss took him to UCI Medical Center, as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery where he has been teaching other surgeons in cutting edge surgical techniques. He is an author of multiple scientific articles.
