Right away from the first info session, I thought Dr. Kim was a nice guy who knew his field very well.
He seemed compassionate about helping those with weight issues overcome their struggle by helping provide them with a tool to make it happen.
I do wish that we were able to meet with Dr. Kim a little earlier in the process, but my date was moved up, so I was an unusual case as far as meeting him. Plus, I know you have every opportunity to meet him at every info session as he is there every Wednesday. Dr. Kim placed extreme emphasis on following the eating plan and keeping up with support groups as it completely immerses your life with information on how to work your tool. The office stresses that brain surgery isn't done, but just bariatric surgery. Overall, I've been very... [Click here for more] happy with my experience, and look forward to the many meetings/appt I will have with him and his staff in the future!

He was concern with my well being.
My impression has only gotten better
The office staff is friendly.
I like everything about Dr. Kim
He tells you what you need to know. He stress that it is mandatory to follow up with your appointments, and go to your support group meetings.
The after care program is great
He was up front about everything pretaining to the surgery.
I rate him as an 10 plus
The whole hospital stay was good! Posted on 01/15/2008 |

I first saw Dr. Kim at his seminar and I felt he really cared about obese people. He really is very professional. I felt very confident that he knows what he is doing and will look out for both me and my husband. He has the most awesome office staff. They are very nice and efficient. He is very adamant about aftercare. He really wants you to be educated and supported. He has support groups every Wednesday (each Wednesday is for a different part of the journey). Plus access to the dietician. I feel he is a very cautious doctor, but would you want it any other way? I still feel I made the best choice even after my surgery and have no doubts that he will take good care of my husband. Posted on 09/19/2007 |

I did not attend an in-person informational seminar--having attended the online session--so, it seemed a bit odd to get so far into the process before actually meeting the doctor. When I finally had my pre-op appointment, I found that Dr. Kim is kind, compassionate, and obviously dedicated to helping people suffering from obesity. He answered every question clearly and concisely, and calmed my nerves immensely. The office staff is sensitive and well-informed--many being fellow WLS patients themselves. Dr. Kim's pre-op education stresses aftercare, including specific dietary guidelines and exercise regimens. I have confidence that the program is well-researched and designed for maximum weight loss success. Posted on 09/16/2007 |

While still really aloof...finally did the surgery to repair the 'flipped' port - again, great surgery- back to work the next day no pain or after effects whatsoever - but not sure what exactly he did as when he opened me up apparently the port was still firmly attached to whatever...just my anatomy that caused the flip so we'll see when I get around to going back - my last visit was 8/31/07 - after finding out that I was trying to get counseling to help me lose faster (once a month in a group session 1 hour away from my house at night-just doesn't cut it) he decided to give me another fill. Still no freebie. It's always going to cost me 150.00 to get a fill - really not happy with that...kinda knocks the 'free visits for 1 year' perk out the window! Posted on 09/01/2007 |

Dr Kim was very open with me and his staff has always gone out of there way to assist me.
When Dr Kim learned I had breast cancer he wanted to make sure that I keep him informed of my situation and ensured that I come back to him for 6 month's instead of just a yearly appointment. That meant alot to me! Posted on 08/28/2007 |

I met Dr. Kim last night at the information session he conducts on Wednesday evenings. I was impressed with his empathy and compassion, as well as his knowledge and understanding of obesity as a disease. I will update as time goes on and I have a firmer opinion built through getting to know him better. Posted on 05/31/2007 |

My first impression of Dr.Kim was love at first sight. Love the way he talks and explains everything. Over time I still hold my thoughts of my first impression. His staff is excellent, sweet, down to earth. I would love for Dr.Kim to smile a little more :0)
Future patients need to know that they are in excellent hands and that if they have any question he will answered it in a snap haha.Dr.Kim is always reminding me about how much I have to take care of my self, always reminding me about my water intake, vitamins, protein which I do bacause I don't wnat to get sick and because I feel good and that's the way I want to keep feeling GOOD.USBariatric have an excellent program for post-op.
