Dr Higa and his staff was wonderful. He took his time and made me feel comfortable. The office staff was friendly. I would have like Dr Higa to have spent a little more time with me after surgery. Just in case anything had come up I could speak to him directly. I would let future patients know that Dr Higa is a busy man and may come off as he does not care, but he truly does. The after care program is the normal 1 week, 4 week after surgery, although his nutrionist and psyh. came in and spoke with me about their free support classes. I had my surgery at the Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital and it was by far the best hosipital experience I have ever had. It was comfortable, I had my own room and bathroom, and a bed for my overnight guest. Overall a pleasent expereince. Posted on 02/09/2010 |

My first impression was safe and confortable. Dr. Higa was very straight forward and didn't just treat me like another fat person. The staff is great and very complete. They floow up with me and work with me on fincial issues when I needed it. Dr. Higa is good on having you know the facts and what your actually getting into. Dr higa is very good at listening and explaining everything you want to know about the procedure that I was interested in...The aftercare was awesome!! The nutritionist and the physcologist came and spoke with me before I was released and let me know about they're support system.. Great guy and great doctor! My first impression of him was trust. From the moment he shoke my hand I knew that I could trust him because he looked me straight in the eyes. I didn't feel belittled or even like just another fat person that is wanting to take the easy way out. He is patient and lets you think through what you want to say and treats concerns with respect and knowledge. Very good at explaining things that will happen and through out the entire process. Dr. Higa is a great Doctor for anybody that is looking for a Weight loss doctor, he is the one. This man saved my life. So look him up.
