I thoght Dr. Jones was very knowledgable and kind hearted. He explained every aspect of the procedure to me that I could think of and didn't hesitate why he did something or didn't do something. My impression has been the same. His office staff is great. Kim and Sue are individuals who you can call and ask anything and they will have an answer for you. There isn't much of a support group...not alot of people come to the support group meetings. He wants you to attend aftercare programs and really emphasizes exercise. The aftercare program is structured not many people show up and do what they are supposed to do. He specifically explains the risks of surgery and what to expect from the surgery. Overall, I would give Dr. Jones a 10 out 10. With Dr. Jones he has surgical competence and... [Click here for more] great bedside manners If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing.

Upon first meeting Dr. Jones I liked him. He seemed to be an honest , open, and no holds barred kind of Dr. After the first visit I knew he would be my doctor. (and I am so glad he was) All through the dealings with the insurance company Dr. Jones and his staff were uplifting and supportive. I love every one who works in Dr. Jones office. Every visit since the first one, I smile, laugh, and joke non stop with the staff. They all are so sincere and careing when it comes to the welfare and daily needs of their patients. BUT Dr. Jones is not a doctor who will constantly ride you to do what you should already be doing after surgery. He will tell you all the relevant information and the consiquences of not fallowing his orders. But the ultimate decision is yours and you must accept... [Click here for more] and deal with the results of the decisions you make. If you do what he and his staff tell you all will be fine. If you decide to do your own thing then you must live (or not) with the results. Dr. Jones Has a wonderful aftercare program. He stresses the importance of aftercare and the need for fallow up testing. Again Dr. Jones is not an all is wonderful, no worries in life, no risks in surgery, or I am a surgical god, type person. He will tell you nothing but the truth. (Good and Bad) The final decision and its consiquences are yours to live with. I love Dr. Jones and his staff They saved my life! I myself would preffer surgical competence over bedside manner if i had to choose only one. But with Dr. Jones He Has a wonderful bedside manner and his surgical experiance and competence are outstanding. Five Stars *** , AAA+++

Choosing a good surgeon was my top priority when I decided to have WLS. First, I listened to what others had to say about the surgeons in my city. Then I asked several doctors, who I work with, for their independent opinions of whom they would recommend. I told them what kind of surgery I had chosen and they ALL reccommended the same MD; Dr. Kenneth B. Jones.
I learned that he was the most experienced surgeon for WLS in this area and that he had done thousands of RNY.
His office staff, Sue and Kim also came highly reccommended by previous patients. I found him and his staff to be so helpful and supportive. I am a self pay patient, so they did their best to advise me of the probable costs involved. Dr. Jones answered all mine and my husbands questions before surgery and in the hospital.... [Click here for more] He has also shown a great deal of concern and dedication to me in the aftercare. He has offered his help at any time I need it. He completelty addressed all risks and benefits of surgery, the lifestyle changes necessary to adapt to afterwards and the assurance that this procedure was generally a very safe procedure long term if one follows aftercare instructions. I would highly reccommend him to any patient.

I met with Dr. Jones for my most recent consultation on July 19-2005. I think he is great! He is very open and straight forward about the procedure. He tells you like it is and also has a wonderful bed-side manner. I havent had my surgery yet, I AM HOPEFUL! I cannot imagine anyone else doing the surgery for me. He came highly reccomemded by several family members and friends! His office staff is very polite and corteous. Everytime I call (several times a week,lol) they are very patient with me and treat me very nicely. I would recommend anyone whom is considering the WLS to go to him. He covered any and all aspects of the surgery and answered all questions that I had...

Dr. Jones is a wonderful doctor. He has been absoutley wonderful to me since the first day I met him. My husband and I both had apprehensions about this surgery until the day we went for my first consultation and met Dr. Jones. We left his office that day knowing this was the right road for me to take and did not worry about it anymore. His office personel was also very supportive and informitave. I am so blessed and so lucky to have heard of Dr. Jones. The day of my surgery and each day after Dr. Jones was there for me, I had surgery on a Friday and he was there everyday to check on me. He explained everything, and gave me papers to read that covered almost any question you could have. Dr. Jones has knowledge about this type of surgery and a bedside manner that most doctors lack.... He shows models and explains everything where you can understand and should you have a question he is more than happy to answer it for you. He takes his time with you and never makes you feel like you have to rush in and rush out. He makes you feel like you are his only patient. I've chosen Dr. Kenneth Jones as my surgeon because of the information that I was able to find over the internet. On Dec. 20, 2007, I called to make an appointment, when the receptionist told me that it would be Feb. before he could see me I thought this doctor must really have a lot of patients , but I took the appointment anyway. Even though the directions I was given were pretty clear I still had a time finding how to get to the parking garage but I made it. I was a bit early, but that gave me time to get my paper work done. The lady that was there (Ms. Sue I think was her name) was very nice. I was nervous at first but after a few minutes I felt fine. When Dr. Jones first came out I looked at him and thought okay this is an older doc so he's gotta be knowing what he's doing. There... [Click here for more] were two other ladies there, we had already introduced ourselves an discussed some things to ask Dr. Jones. He begin explaining everything in detail to us and showing us the models he had. He addressed all the risks to us and asked if we had any questions. Overall I think that Dr. Jones and I will get alone just fine because when we talked one on one he was not in a rush he took his time and explained all of my personal concerns to me and I like that in a doctor...

First impression of Dr. Jones, was great.
I knew that I had picked a good surgeon. I have talked to so many people and they say he is the best around the Louisiana area.
The office staff is wonderful. Sue his nurse is great, along with the rest of the staff.

my impression has not changed
office staff are excellent
i have met w/ dr. jones only once but being a doctor myself i was confident after the meeting that i had made the right choice
nothing i disliked
no response to future patients
aftercare is well emphasized and is logically very very important
he has a 2 year follow up program
risks were addressed upfront, no nonsense and no sugar coating
i would rate him excellent overall
