Dr. Cook is a gentle caring person. He really is concerned about the patient and takes their best interest to heart. He was very imformative and I knew I could trust him to take very good care of me. My surgery went well and he made sure I was doing well before I came home. If I ever have to have surgery again I would definitely go to him first. Dr. Cook is a wonderful doctor and person! His bedside manner is extremely personal, he actually cares about his patients. The office staff is also wonderful , especially Libby Shaver , she is my mentor and angel! She takes care of the aftercare program Dr. Cook has and she does a wonderful job at it! I first met Dr. Cook when I needed surgery to remove a growth from my armpit. During the follow visits we began talking about BWL surgery. From day 1 it felt as though Dr. Cook truly cared for me and my health. He is a "this is how it is" kind of guy, no runaround. My Pre-op is Aug 8th 2007 and it cant get here quick enough. Office staff has been GREAT!
He's pretty serious, I like to joke around.
He's VERY good.
Staff very adamant about aftercare.
He did explain risks, said he has had very few.
Excellent
Surgical competence. He's very serious which I like in my surgeon.

Dr. Cook is a skilled surgeon. He is quiet, and very concerned that his surgeries go well, and that his patients have no problems. If you have a problem related to another health issue, he prefers you see your family doctor, and sometimes that creates problems especially when there is a conflict in medicine choices. Dr. Cook was wonderful!
I had my RNY surgery 10/15/07. He is so caring and nice. Plus a great surgeon too. I came through everything perfectly.
My mom also had the lap band surgery which he did in late '06. He is just so easy to talk to and he really cares! There are some doctors that are not easy to talk to and make you feel inferior. He is not like that at all.

I could not have asked for a better surgeon or Weightloss program. Dr. Cook is such a sweet and humble man. He is a total professional, yet makes you feel totally comfortable and cared for when talking to him. I would recommend anyone to him. Thoughout my hospital stay, all the staff kept commenting on what a great surgeon he is and how much he cared for each and everyone of his patients. He always answered all of my questions and was eagar to help and make me comfortable thoughout my hospital stay. Throughout this whole process I was totally informed!! I was given guidence and directions on every step of the way. I was given a 3 ring binder filled with lists of what food to eat at what stages, along with meds that I was aloud to take and what things to expect before and after... [Click here for more] surgery. All of Dr. Cooks staff is very professional and very knowledgable about the whole procedure and aftercare. I was comfortable throughout the whole process!

I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon then Dr. Cook. He was very helpful with any questions or concerns that I had. He was a good doctor that actually had good bed side manner. When he came to check on me in the hospital you could tell that he really cared and he always did something to make me smile. Also, the rest of the staff was great. I know that it would have been a much harder process if the staff and the hospital was bad. I am so blessed that the Lord allowed me to have such a good experience with everyone!
