dr gorospe is very good! I started out with dr fisher from tulsa cause at the time gorospe didnt acept my ins. but i switch and i just love him, i went to him and in week i got a approval. the staff has been wonderful. Posted on 10/13/2008 |

The first impression I got of Dr G was that he was very concerned for the health of people with problems with their weight. He was thorough with the answering of questions that I had about the surgery. The staff have been very helpful and very prompt in answering my voice mails or emails. Dr. Gorospe is very nice. He speaks with such passion about the surgeries he performs and gets excited when telling people how much their life will improve.
He really makes a bold statement about pre-surgery testing to insure the safest surgery as well as how crucial after care follow up is.
He did address the risks as most Doc's do, however, he is also very open about his mortality rate. He has performed thousands of surgeries and has lost only 9 patients. Dr. Gorospe and Joe (Bob) Kirk are two WL surgeons who cares about any overweight person that come to see them regarding baratric surgery. They understands what obesity is doing to America. His office staff are really helpful; they help you from begining til the end on getting an approval. He makes you sign a letter stating that you will do follow ups visits and if anything should happen he wants to see you. At the WL simanar I attended on Sept 9,2006 he explained what you can benefit from having the wl surgery and also what the complications are. He also does more Lap RNY than the Open. He has been very sucessful doing both open and lap. My surgery was on May 30th of 2007 and I cant believe it has almost been 1 year, it has been a very wonderful year... [Click here for more] as a baratric person. Having this surgery has changed my life and my health. I cant explain enough how good it feels to be a LOSER>>> instead of a "gainer" as long has the rules are followed there will be no re-gaining anything. I would recommend DR. Gorospe or (DR. G) to anyone he is the best weight loss Doctor here in Tulsa, ok...well now Owasso, ok this is where his practice has moved.

Dr. Gorospe is far and above one of the best doctors I have ever met. The devotion he and Dr. Kirk have to their practice, staff, and most importantly their patients is far beyond your expectations. I loved Dr. Gorospe from the moment I met him. I choose him because of the system he has in place to assure the safety of his patients. This is a life changing event and I wanted the person performing my surgery to have a clear understanding of me and know what was need to not only be safe, but also successful.
