Our practice has partnered with Methodist Dallas Medical Center's Weight Management Institute to develop a comprehensive weight loss program that actively utilizes the services of dieticians/nutritionists, counselors, exercise physiologists, and other specialists to create an all-inclusive program of care. Dr. Castro also operates at Prestonwood Surgery Center in Plano and in June will begin performing Lap-Bands at Methodist Hospital in Mansfield. We know that sustained weight loss is a tough challenge when you're morbidly obese. Our team is committed to providing you the highest level of patient care every step of the way.

Dr Castro offers the Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass, the Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band or the Lap-Band® System and the Laparoscopic Gastric Sleeve. He also performs revisional weight loss surgery and follow-up of weight loss surgery patients whose surgery was done elsewhere. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, is designated Center of Excellence in bariatric surgery and holds active membership with the American Society for Bariatric Surgeons.
