I had gastric RNY on 8/18/08 with Dr. Liberman at Physicians Regional Hospital in Naples. Dr. Liberman has a very straight forward manner and is not a "cuddly" person but he is still the best at what he does. He has a wonderful PA, Rudy, who fills in for small appointments or precedures. Eventhough after surgery you are in alot of pain, I had exceptional care at the hospital and Dr. Liberman was there to check in everyday. I had an amazing and fast recovery and his office and staff are pros (except the billing dept). If you live in this area he is the only doctor you want to do this surgery. Make sure to call early because he is hard to get an appointment with right away, mainly because he is very busy. I have the utmost respect and love for both him and his PA. Posted on 10/29/2008 |

I have been very happy with the care from Dr. Liberman. He was voted (again) one of the top ten doctors of SW Florida. His bed side manner is not the best but when it comes down to the surgery he is the best. His nurse is absolutely wonderful. She encouraging and caring. rnrnI never did receive a diet directly from my doctor or nurse. I was always referred to the NUT. She was not the bright tack in the box and did not offer solid advice. I would never go to her again. She is a very nice person don't get me wrong, but not helpful in the least bit. She told me things that I already knew from when I went to the NUT for a year for insurance approval. She never gave me an outline for foods after except to have lots of protein. She never told me how much protein or which was... [Click here for more] the best except for Carnation powdered drinks. They are not the best, maybe good tasting.rnrnMy dr never went over the risks. He had his secretary do that for him and then of course I had to sign the wavier. rnrnHis main concern was if I was a good candidate for the surgery and if I would have any complications after. He is a very caring doctor and is extremely competent and knowledgable regarding the surgery but overall I should have gone to Weston.

Dr. Liberman was always very compassionate and caring. He is very detailed oriented and made sure that I was an appropriate candidate for surgery. His office staff were wonderful and his office manager Marsha is very caring and responds to questions and concerns immediately and if she didnt know the answer she would find out. They were very helpful during the whole process. WHile I was in the hospital after my surgery he came to see me several times a day to make sure everything was alright. My first impression was very good.He was in the military and I come from strong military blood.My impression has not changed,he is very good and Chief of surgery at the hospital.I have only had a few problems with the whole situation.The clinic has interns that do rotations from Miami.I did not like the intern and asked him to leave my room.The intern was very rude and cocky.Dr.Liberman has always been very professional.I had some minor complications and Dr.Liberman was right on them.I personally feel that Post -op care could be better...feel like I am on my own.They do have a support group meeting every third tuesday at the hospital.Dr.Liberman went over all the risks and referred me to other Dr.s to help with my other comobities.I would give the DR. a 10,Lynn his nurse a 15(emotional... I did lots of research in my area before choosing Dr. Liberman. It paid off. He is extremely through and insists that his patients are in the best possible health they can be prior to surgery. He told me what to expect so I was not surprised. His nurse was wonderful and answered all my questions. Dr. Lieberman is a fantastic surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone. I loved Dr. Liberman! He is very competant, and I always felt like he was incredibly professional, and helpful in answering all of my questions. He is the Chief of Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Hospital. He has a LOT of experience, and he is very knowlegeable about the Lap/Open RNY. He also does the Lap-Band.
I would recommend him to anyone. The hospital is so nice! You get your very own huge suite with luxry amenities. It's like staying in a really nice hotel. They dote on you all day long. My operation and hopital experience was amazing!!! Posted on 04/21/2004 |

Dr. Liberman is an excellent surgeon. Which ultimately is all that matters! He is professional and courteous, prompt and to the point.
My surgery went perfectly, with minimal pain and my scars are healing very well.
His office staff is clearly very busy, but they run a tight ship and are thorough. Lori was very sweet to me pre-op. I felt like a meal ticket when I was trying to get scheduled for surgery, which was my only negative experience... the scheduling person was not very accomodating. Posted on 12/23/2003 |
