Dr. Blaney received his undergraduate degree at the United States Military Academy, West Point and his medical degree at Emory University. He went on to complete his surgical training at Eisenhower Army Medical Center and spent the next four years in the Army as a staff surgeon at Fort Benning Georgia. Dr. Blaney is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is an active member and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons. He has special interests in advanced laparoscopy, endoscopy, weight loss surgery and reflux disease.
In the bariatric field he offers a wide variety of surgery options ranging from LapBand, Realize Band, Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy, and Gastric Bypass. Through his bariatric program, he helps guide patients in making an informed decision on what surgery may work best for them.
