I really like Dr. Sofronski. When I first went to the seminar I was pumped and he was exellent! I wasn't sure about his staff when I first met them but they called me and kept me informed of everything. The thing I love is that sometimes he answers the phone and is right there at the desk when you come in. He was good about explaining thing also! I would recommend him to everyone! I had my lap-band surgery over 2 years ago. What a change in my life! Well over a 120+++ pounds later and I am a different person -- more like my "old self". It feels good to be able to walk up and down the stairs without getting winded. I excercise more and love the new clothes.
The staff and Dr. S have been wonderful. The emphasis on eating right, understanding the psychology of why you eat have been the most important aspect of my WL journey. It was more then the tool of the band, it was learning to excercise again, learning what and when not to eat and most of all, learning to love my body. I am ready for this to be the best first new day of my life, everyday. I couldn't have done this without my new tool.
Thanks to Dr. S and his wonderful staff! Posted on 02/28/2008 |

My first impression of my surgeon is that he is very smart and really wants to help people. My impression of him in that respect has not changed and I am six months post op. He still strikes me as very smart and very helpful. His office staff is great. There are a ton of them being that his is the only center around my area. They have a gym on site and I use it all the time. It is really going to be part of the key to getting my weight off. They also have support group and nutritional meetings, which I have not attended that much but I know a lot of other patients do attend and like them. Normally, I am not a group meeting type of personality. I would much rather use an online support group. I would rate my surgeon as excellent. He has a lot of prior work experience in... [Click here for more] trauma care and surgery which is a plus.

I am in the early stages of getting approved for surgery. I went to the LapBand seminar last week and really liked what Dr. Sofronski had to say. He seemed very devoted to his patients. This was the second surgeon I have seen and after meeting him and his staff I made the decision that this physician was definately the physician for me. His office has an extensive aftercare program that offers so much support to his patients and he seems to care about their success with the surgery. Posted on 09/25/2007 |

Dr. Bovard and the all the staff at Delmarva Bariatric Center are just wonderful. They don't make you feel like a second class person! I have had contact with all the doctors because they are always in the office or gym. Yes, they have a gym for their patients. They are in there working out also. How many times would a "Doctor" work out with his patients? This is a first class office that really cares about you and your journey to freedom from obesity. I have my surgery on August 29, 2007. I have no problems putting my life in their hands. I really trust them. It also helps that I am 2 miles from the office. They are always willing to answer any questions, no matter how silly you may think they are. I have never had an experience with a medical office like theirs. Doctors... [Click here for more] should strive to set an example like Dr. Mike and his crew. How would I rate them? Off the charts!!! Wonderful! God has bless this office. That is the only way I can describe it!

My first impression about Dr. S is that he is excited about what he does.He has a partner at his practice and on the day of the seminar that we met him at his partner did most of the talking and while the video and slides went on he worked out, so i can say he practices what he preaches. He is WAY BIG into after care, his office is regular office in the front and gym for all of his patients in the back (it' s a huge nice center)So far so good I like him!!! My first impression was that he was very passionate about his career. However my friend thought that he had a salesman type personality. The office staff was very professional and helpful with insurance issues. He is very big on aftercare which impressed me. He has a structured aftercare program that you must follow for 1 year. His program director went over all the risks of surgery at my pre-op appointment and they were discussed during the seminar that I attended prior to my consultation. I would rate him as an excellent surgeon overall. I would say his surgical competence is better than his bedside manner. Posted on 02/16/2007 |

I liked Dr Sofronski from the moment I met him. He is very upfront and honest person. He makes sure that you get a good idea of proper eating before surgery so that it will help you on your journey after surgery. His office staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Dr Sofronski and Delmarva Bariatric Center to everyone!!! Posted on 06/02/2006 |
