Muhammad A. Jawad, MD was born in Jordan in 1945.
He attended medical school in   Cairo, Egypt and graduated with Honors in 1969. 
He completed his surgical training in  Chicago, Illinois at Cook County
Hospital from 1972-1979 then in Jackson, Alabama at Jackson Hospital
from 1979-1981.

Dr. Jawad has been practicing in Ocala since 1981, performing General 
and Vascular Surgery. He is board certified through the American Board
of Surgery  and a member in good standing with many organizations including
Fellow of  American College of Surgeons, American Society of Bariatric
Surgeons, and  Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Jawad is an expert in the laparoscopic field, as he has performed 
thousands of cases since this technique has been offered.
He specializes in the laparoscopic gastric bypass and more recently the
adjustable Lap-Band procedure. He has presented both nationally and
internationally over 40 papers on laparoscopic surgery.
