CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
Developed a comprehensive laparoscopic bariatric surgery service at St Francis Hospital, Federal Way, WA and was instrumental in establishing a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence (BSCOE).

Instrumental in developing a bariatric surgical team ( perioperative services, anesthesia, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, bariatric surgery support services, psychologists) to establish critical pathways focused on streamlining surgical patient care from initial contact to long-term follow-up and support.

Brought together Hospital administration, Chief Financial Officer, Marketing Director and the Vice-President for Quality Control to develop a simple affordable package for patients who did not have insurance coverage to pay for their surgeries.

Developed and refined novel techniques to decrease technical complications after Lap-Band and Laparoscopic and open Roux-en-Y bypass. Developed treatment algorithms for managing nutritional deficiencies in non-compliant patients after malabsorptive operations. These were presented at major national and international meetings.
