Never. Started early on, found this to be too much of a technical problem due to port placement. As with our teachers in Dallas, recommend patients defer, with realization that procedure can still be done laparoscopically with relative ease at a later date, if necessary. |

We no longer offer lapBand for morbid obesity; concerns about its efficacy in at least 50% of those patients who have had lapBand have led us to conclude that it may not be worth the risk to the patient to embark on a treatment modality which may be of little or no benefit. |
