My first impression of Dr. Rosenthal was that he was all business. However, after I had my surgery, he would come and visit me in my hospital room and I got to see another side of him. He is very humorous. His staff are quick to answer questions. My favorite people in his office are: Karol, his office assistant and Mindy, his bariatric coordinator. Mindy was the liasion between myself and the hospital staff that were taking care of me postop. If I needed anything, Mindy was available to help me out. I felt that the nutrionist program was okay but was not all that it could be. I learned a lot on my own and from OH. If it wasn't for OH, I would not have felt as prepared for my surgery. Overall, I would rate Dr. Rosenthal himself as a 10. I came out of surgery alive and well and am... [Click here for more]

My first impression of Dr. Rosenthal was...I need to look no further for my surgeon! I went into Orientation scared out of my mind and walked out thinking this is for me. I only wish I got to see more of him. He has a staff of associates, who are wonderful as well, but it just gives me reassurance to see the surgeon. I only saw him at Orientation, my consultation, briefly before surgery, he popped in the day after surgery but I don't remember if he said anything to me and then I saw him 4 days after surgery when he checked on me because I had a history of night time fevers while in the Hospital. That was it! All of my post-op visits have been with associates. I know he is very busy and he cannot be everywhere but I would have liked him to go over how my surgery went. He did speak... My first impression of him was that he seemed really nice. He seemed like a normal person who had feelings about diet and exercise like everyone else does. He seemed friendly and he definatly knew what he was talking about. After orientation, I had my first one-on-one with him. I have to admit he almost scared me out of it, but I went home and gave it some great thought and decided I want the surgery. His office staff seems nice. I know a few people that have had wls from him already and have had great results. I would highly recommend him because he lets you know what your getting into and he seems great.    Posted on 11/22/2007

I thought he was a little too nice in the beginning, but it seems like he really cares.    Posted on 09/21/2007

Dr. Rosenthal at the Cleveland Clinic seems like a cut above all the other surgeons i've met and talked with including those who have previously attempted my surgery. I am very impressed with everything about him and the Cleveland Clinic in general. Post-op: i don't know what to say about Dr. R that hasn't already been said by others. I was in the right hands. I am even more impressed with the man now than i was before my surgery. I feel i owe my life to him and that he made sure i got nothing but the best treatment every step of the way. His surgical competence and bedside manner are the best. I am lucky and grateful to have found him. Post - op Follow-up has been done by Dr. Schuhknecht here in Michigan. I think he's a great doctor and a great guy. He's taken... [Click here for more]

He was wonderful...I feel the whole program at Cleveland Clinic Florida - Weston is wonderful. I found the staff is very knowledgeable and caring. They answered my questions and concerns immediately. My experience with the aftercare program is exceptional as well. The education process both before the surgery and the continued support group care afterwards is top notch. There was nothing I didnt expect...everything risks and all were put out there. I did have complications after my surgery, which can happen with any surgery from any doctor. However, Dr. Rosenthal was exceptional because he recognized after a few hours something was not right and before I became too ill he had me back in surgery doing the repair. Because of the very structured dietary program, I feel I am given... [Click here for more]

Dr Rosenthal is the "BEST" surgeon if you are going to have Gastric bypass surgery. I had my surgery on April 25, 2007 and it was not for weight loss but for a disease I have Gerd/Barrett's Esophagus. I had three previous surgeries from a different surgeon and they all failed. Dr Rosenthal explained to me what he could do to correct them and how this surgery would give me a better life. (which so far it has)He explained the risks and the advantages of the surgery in details. He is an excellent surgeon. Dr Rosenthal has both Surgical competence and a great bedside manner personality with a great sense of humor and he is always so happy to see you. He always makes you feel you are a special person. A few times he has taken the time out of his busy day to call me personally to talk to... [Click here for more]

My first impression of Dr. Rosenthal was one that will be a lasting one. I walked in a few minutes late to the orientation session that he was hosting but he welcomed me into the room with open arms. As the time progressed during the orientation I realized how caring the doctor was and how I slowly felt I was making the right decision in chosing him as my savior. I was scheduled the same afternoon to see Dr. Rosenthal so I hung out around the hospital for a while. I was impressed at the total organization and professionalism of all the Cleveland Clinic staff. The Bariatric Center is completely staffed to perfection. I was amazed at the efficiency of all the ladies and gents that work there and how they all seem to want to bend over backwards to help you along the way. Dr. Rosenthal... [Click here for more]

Dr. Rosenthal seemed like a genuinely nice person, his assistant basicaly went over the different procedures with me and he can in as the tail mail, but he didn't rush me he answered all of my questions and to me that is priceless. I didn't see Dr. Rosenthal pre-operatively I saw the assistants and after the surgery I believe he stopped by twice, I have very little recolletion. The most important thing is I feel that I have gotten through the surgery with flying colors and I see the Doctor this Tuesday the 5th for my two week post op. I felt that the system they have at Cleveland Clinic, Weston, FL of which Dr. Rosenthal is a part is the best, the are puntual and caring and precise, if I had to do it again, heaven forbid, I would definately walk through the same doors.    Posted on 06/02/2007
