Dr. Boorse was very professional and clearly very experienced. I thought he was slightly more personable at the seminar than when I met with him individually. He answered all of my questions and allowed me to press him on things that were a question. Posted on 09/02/2008 |

Dr. Boorse is personable, professional, and took time to listen and answer all my questions. He was patient with my worried dad! He was supportive and helpful regarding my self-pay status, and gave me one-third off his normal price. My surgery went well, and he has an excellent track record at a Bariatric Center of Excellence. I have been less impressed with his staff; many are not the warmest and seem to be just "doing a job," although they are professional. There were mix-ups in payment prior to surgery; they seemed confused about what to do with a self-pay patient and told me different things at different times. After surgery, when I called the office with a question for nursing, they never called back and "lost" my question, necessitating the receptionist to page the surgeon... [Click here for more] to get me an answer. It is also their office policy to charge $25 to fill out a one-page disability form. Luckily Dr. Boorse himself is the person in whom I placed my trust, resulting in a clean, complication-free surgery. *These statements are my own personal impressions of my surgeon and his staff; I make no statements about what others may experience.*

Even though I am still pre-op, as a nurse, I have known and worked with Dr. Boorse for many years. He is a wonderful, caring individual who treats his patients as though they were members of his own family. I literally trust him with my life! Posted on 07/03/2008 |

My first impression of Dr. Boorse was that he was very knowledgeable. He answered evry question we had plus.He continued to provide that same impression throughout however his bead sidemanner was a little cold. His office staff was great they really helped me find ways to get this covered by my insuraunce.HE addressed the risks very openly but without it coming across scary. very reassuring that if there were any issues we have ways of helping just gotta call if there are any problems.Overall i would rate him as a very good surgeon very thorough and efficient. Very nice, all the way through. I see him on Tuesday for the first time since surgery last Wednesday. My surgery went very well. The hospital he works through has a very structured pre and post care program. His office staff is great. I have my first fill coming in April. The only issue I've had is that once a nurse from the office did not call me back, but fortunately it was not a dire emergency. I am not sure if she didn't get the message to call me or what but I was slightly disappointed. Posted on 03/17/2008 |

Doctor Boorse is a lifesaver. Since my surgery in. dec.2005. I feel great i have more energy and down 52 pounds. If i had to do it all over again i will go back to Dr. BOORSE. Yes he does tell you all the risk involed but you have risk with any surgery. He has very good bed side manners if i had to rate him 1out20 he would be a 20 Posted on 03/15/2006 |

Very professional. Have the utmost respect for him. He made the whole process as comfortable as possible. When I was released from the hospital, called for 1 week follow-up appt. and was given attitude for the receptionist having to double up on an appointment, was uncalled for. Doctor is very professional and took the time to explain the process of RNY. Was sure to explain aftercare in great detail. Currently, in Phase 2 of RNY and coping with it. Dr. Boorse gave me recommendations
to help help me along with the cravings.
He was very forwrd to explain the risks of RNY and kept asking me if I was sure that wanted to do RNY. Overall, Dr. Boorse is a terrific surgeon with an excellent bedside manner and great surgical skills. Both are very important to me. Posted on 05/08/2005 |
