Dr. Torpy seemed very friendly and confident. Sometimes I felt like he was a little rushed when I went for my appointments. His office staff are wonderful, and very helpful. What I liked least about him was that I feel he needed to stress/emphasize that I should attend support meetings even after reaching my goal weight. I don't think he emphasized enough about aftercare. Dr. Torpy definitely explains all the risk involved. I would rate him at at a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being worst and 10 being best. I feel that surgical competence AND bedside manner are a must. Also making your appointment time not feeling rushed. Posted on 10/14/2004 |

I found Dr. Torby extremely thorough and helpful. He explained everything in the finest detail. His qualifications are first-rate and he has had over 25 years experience with this surgery. His office staff were professional and very personable. They answered all my insurance inquiries.
His office is a very busy one so don't be surprised if you have to wait. It is well worth it. Posted on 02/09/2003 |
