Dr. Banerjee was wonderful. He was very helpful in explaining the surgery and answering questions. He returned telephone calls promptly when I had questions pre and post surgery.
He was very encouraging and very thorough in explaining the surgery and its effects.
I have nothing but positive things to say; he was in my corner from the first meeting. Posted on 08/24/2005 |

I have Kaiser Insurance. I enjoyed the meeting where they explain about the surgeon. He was so willing to answer all question and his presentation was the VERY best. When I had the pre-op visit with him, he gave me such confidence that I can't say enough GOOD about him. He addressed all the risks of the surgery and we talked for a long time over my concerns. After I was home from surgery, his office staff gave him my messages immediately and he called back in less than 30 minutes. His explanation to me was awsome and very explanatory, confidence in him got a lot higher. I trusted him with my life and would do it again. He was very good with my after care. He made sure that I had all of the tests that I needed and that I understood the results. My rating of him is the HIGHEST... [Click here for more] you could give. His surgical competence is the best, goes to conferences whenever he can, His bedside manner was so reasuring and the best, ALWAYS took the time to answer any question I had or to tell me what I needed to do. BEST RATING I CAN GIVE I don't have anything negative to say, nothing has happened to me negatively in respect to Dr. Banerjee. The office that set up the surgery messed up giving me the wrong surgeon for my pre-op, I had to wait 2 hours but saw Dr. Banerjee in the end.

I have had the luck of meeting Dr. Banerjee before, he did my husbands carpal tunnel surgery, both hands. Kind of scary when you think about hands, compared to w.L.S.
What I liked about Dr. Banerjee, is he does not have a dry personality,( I hate dry)he has a nice sense of humor. He is very informative about the w.L.S. The before, after & during of the surgery.& was very open to all our ??'s.
I will keep you all posted, after my surgery, to give you the whole scoop.
Thanks,

I only met Dr. Bannerjee once so far, and that was at a pre-surgical group meeting/conference. He was there with Dr. Alvarez, but Dr. B. pretty much did the talking. Dr. Alvarez looked like he had a hard day, and was happy to let Dr. B. do all the work. =) I will say that I know a lot of people are a little intimidated about having an "Indian" doctor, because of language barriers and such, but in listening to the lecture I really felt like he was not a hard person to talk to. He does have an accent, but was frank and easy to understand. Please don't take that to mean that I am being biggoted in stating this...I myself am a minority and I always hear people commenting about not wanting a "Indian" doctor or an "Asian" doctor because they are afraid they won't be able to understand... [Click here for more] what the doctor is saying and vice-versa. Anyway, when they called me for my surgical appt., and asked which doctor I wanted I went ahead and told them Dr. Bannerjee because I did like him and I felt he was a competent surgeon.
That feeling was reinforced when I left a message for him regarding some pre-surgical questions, and he took the time to call me back right away. On the phone he was patient and soft spoken, and answered all of my questions just fine. If you have Kaiser, you know that sometimes they can be a real pain to deal with, so to have a surgeon call you back is awesome. I have a visit with him just a few days prior to surgery, so I'll report on that later.
