Very good first impression. Very knowledgeable. Short meeting. Staff was great. All complications were addressed as were my concerns. I feel he is both competent and has a great bedside manner. Posted on 10/06/2008 |

When I first met Dr. Khalili, he presented as knowledgable and kind. He was realistic about my health risks and goals, and I felt I was in good hands. After surgery, I continued to feel the same way. Dr. Khalili's surgical skill is beyond reproach.
I credit Dr. Khalili with improving the quality of my life tenfold. Thank you, Dr. Khalili. Posted on 10/01/2008 |

My first impression of Dr. Khalili is, he was very sweet and informative. I have only met Dr. Khalili once so far, for my first consultation. My friends have had nothing but nice things to say about him,m and they have all had great results. I would say Dr. Khalili's staff was excellant, they are very busy, but yet all so organized and very professional, KUDDOS to you all! Posted on 09/06/2008 |

I haven't met my surgeon yet. His assistant that I had my consult with and their staff were just amazingly nice, efficient, listened to everytthing I had to say and answered all my questions. I don't think I could put myself in better hands...Thank God I chose to get a 2nd opinion. Posted on 08/20/2008 |

My first impression of Dr. Khalili was very good. I was impressed with how much time he spent with me on our initial meeting. His staff and the everyone who has helped me along the way have been outstanding. He made sure I researced both surgeries and gave me tons of info to help along the way. Including the heads up on the OH website. If I had to do it all over again, I would go with Dr. Khalili and his staff anyday !! Posted on 05/22/2008 |

I had read in a few peoples profile about Dr. Khalili. So, I already had a idea about him. He was everything I had read. He was very interested in my story and we connected. He answered all my questions and was personable to my surprise. So far so good. Posted on 05/07/2008 |

My first impression was that he was very knowledgable and was very ready to make me feel comfortable in any way he could. The office staff was VERY friendly and helpful. I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Khalili of any of his staff. I believe anyone who visited his office & chose him as their surgeon would be happy. There are many ways to be involved in aftercare. They lead you every step of the way. Posted on 12/27/2007 |

This medical practice is wonderfully comprehensive, and addresses patient needs from a "patient responsibility" point of view, which I really appreciated, because the surgery really is an act that they perform, but a tool that I have to use over a lifetime. There is a huge pool of highly qualified specialists that screen and educate patients along the way, and it was a very useful (if time-consuming) process.
Dr. Khalili and the other primary surgeons in the practice are training the next line of bariatric surgeons, so you can expect to see their training "fellows" at work quite a lot. The net effect could be either a loss of confidence because you're not seeing "the real thing" (Dr. Khalili), OR ... greater confidence because you are in fact seeing more doctors, altogether.... [Click here for more] My opinion was the latter. (While I was in the hospital, I was visited about three times a day, sometimes more, because there was Dr. Khalili, residents, and fellows. More typical is that patients in hospitals are visited once, at about six AM.)
All of the group members work well together (at least from the patient perspective) and I was very well treated. All of my questions were answered, and there was no stone unturned.
This is a highly structured program, and they make it quite clear that the surgery itself is merely one component of the major life changes that will be necessary to revert obesity into health.

My first impression of him was that he is young. The picture of him that I had seen online made him look older than he actually is. He was very polite and caring. He listened to my concerns and addressed them all. He seemed empathic to my situation and my desire to change my life. I read he is one of the leading Bariatric Surgeons in the country and that is why I chose him and Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
His office staff was nice and the nurse was great. Everyone was very friendly. The office was able to schedule my appointments very quickly. The Social worker, Amy, was very nice. She is very kind and was a pleasure to work with.
The office really emphasizes the change in lifestly that the LAP band creates and the need to really follow the aftercare instructions... [Click here for more] and attendance of support groups.
