My first impression of Doc was that he was very aware of my nervousness and he comforted me with a hug and told me I would be fine. He assured me I had no major health problems and a rather small abdomen that I would be ok. I joked with him a little, knowing he was a very serious kind of guy and I got a few smiles out of him so I was pleased. He was very nice and his eye contact was reassuring and made me feel confident in him. He anwsered all my questions, even some that may have been silly, and just made me feel comfortable.
His office staff is on top of it all. When you call, they call right back, they make appointments a breeze, the line you up with all that you need. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Richardson. I felt he was in great demand, but he did take time to talk about the proceedure and if I had any questions, he was there to give answers, or get the help I need.
He is very through for clearance, but I would not want it any other way, since I have many other things wrong with me.
The staff is wonderful, caring, ready to help and do most of the consult appointments with other doctors for you.
Nothing yet has me worried about the doctor.
The doctor tells you how it is, it is a tool, not a miracle, to help you achive your goal.If you want the help he will do all he can to get you there, but if you do not give 100%, please --- this is not for you.
The aftercare seems to be a good program, plus many different things are addressed... [Click here for more] with the meetings.This is stressed beyond belief, after all we need the help or we would not be here.Peers are a wonderful help in this step of recovery.
I did attend another meeting with other doctors, and it was great. I hope our aftercare will be as good.
I liked the way Dr. Richardson talked about the risks, many questions were asked, and he answered them with much confidence.
He will tell you what you want to know, believe me I asked many questions.
I rate him as a great doctor wanting to help the Obese, not just a doctor in this for money. Very through, caring, and has the knowledge needed for success in the surgery.
I cannot answer the question about his bedside manner until I have the surgery, but I will surely be here to make my comments known.
