A surgeon who's well experienced in his proffesion and knows what he's doing.
I was so grateful to have him operate on me. I'm forever grateful.
Dr. Felix is a great surgeon and took care of me. if i could go back in time i would gladly choose him again as my surgeon.
He strongly repeats care on how to care for yourself after the procedure which is really helpful in case your a person who forgets alot.
His office gives you plenty of paperwork and guidlines on what to eat what not to eat how much for how long...etc.
He addressed the risks very business like and very proffessional like. made me comfortable in my decision to have the surgery.
from 1 to 10 i give him a 10.
surgical competence and bedside manner of course are a great combination

He is great! Very much to the point on what to expect and what his expectations are. His staff is wonderfull. They are always pleasant, efficiant, and nice to deal with. He emphasizes his 5 year aftercare program and wants you to stick to it. Posted on 09/29/2008 |

At my consultation I didnt meet up with the Dr. but is his NP. But thats ok was long as he knows what he is doing the day of my surgery. I will meet him in person the day of my pre-op.Met with Felix I liked him anwser any question I had. UPDATE!!! I will warn you that you need to follow up with your insurance to insure that you are truely are covered to have him do surgery or office visits. I changed insurance durning my after care and was told I was covered even through he was out of network because the new insurance had no one other doctor in network so that are will to cover me. I will tell you that was so false!!! My new insurance didnt even cover office visits. Now I have a medical bill I wasn't prepare for!!! Felix is all about how much money he can get out of us!!! I would... [Click here for more] had see so other doctor even if it meant I travelled, that would have honest all away around. When he started this practice gastic-by pass he wanted in year 2000 $500. deposit that was returned when insurance paid, 2001, $500. deposit half returned once insurance paid, he said that paid for a consultion with his wife, a tote and shirt with his name on it (advertising his business) Now it up to $1000. & no return, the last I heard. So you be the judge. The man is all about the money not helping us!!! I will spread the word. See the other Doctors in Fresno because they are just as good as Felix. I know this because I run a support group for gastic-by pass and been to many doctors semimars and had their people in my group.

He is a wonderful surgeon, I am 8 days post-op, I thankfully have had no trouble. His bed side manner is gruff, but he is honest and to the point. His office staff are great always friendly.
My surgery was 5/8, and it was clovis community, the nurses there were outstanding and so friendly.

I am just starting on this weight loss journey and I have chosen Dr. Felix and his staff to guide me through. So far, they have been outstanding. I have all my labs done and I have seen the psychologist. Now, I have to get the insurance approval. Hopefully all will go smoothly. Dr. Felix's staff are wonderful - it doesn't matter how many times you call to ask questions, they answer every single one like it is the first time you are asking. dr. Felix was very friendly, and informative. The plan he has set forth seems very complete, and the foloow up is great. You can call anytime with any concern and it is covered!
I have now had my surgery - I was approved in two days and my surgery was 14 days later. The hospital staff was amazing (except for the night nurses - not... [Click here for more] very quick to help) Dr. Felix has a plan where we see him 1 week, one month, 2 months 3 months 6 months and then yearly forever. It is a great follow up plan. We also have access 24-7 by calling the on call dr. My stitches are perfect and small and smooth - I have no complaints whatsoever!! I would highly recommend him to anyone!!

I knew as soon as I left the office after my first consult that I had chosen the right doctor for me. He and his staff are very understanding and always have a smile for you, even on your worst days!

I can not even begin to tell you how lucky I was to have Dr. Felix as my surgeon. He is probably one of the few surgeons that was able to correct a paraduadenol hernia that he found during the surgery, unlike the surgeon who removed my gallbladder and failed to mention this birth anomaly to me. He took extra care to fully repair this hernia, besides complete the gastric bypass. Then a week later he did not hesitate when I called him after a night of extreme pain and naseau. He met me at the ER and after a quick check sent me back to the OR. He postponed a family trip... [Click here for more] to stay and do the surgery himself, which to me makes him a truely devoted surgeon. He did not sit around a wait to see if the pain went away, thankfully since two parts of my bowel kinked together and caused a knot. He does not hesitate to take action with his patients and that is what makes him one of the best! If I had to rate him on a scale of 1-10 he would definately be a 20+!!!

I have not met my surgeon yet. I just received a referral RX today from my othrhopedic surgeon for the gastric bypass surgery. I had my right knee replaced and I need to lose weight before the left knee is done. Dr Felix was referred to me by several co-workers at the Black Oak Casino in Tuolumne Ca. Posted on 11/28/2007 |
