My surgeon is the MAN! His staff is AWESOME! He is very knowledgable about what he does and has a fantastic reputation. He has never lost a patient. His program is designed specifically to the needs of his patients and their success, not to make his life easier. He truly cares about our health and well being. He believes in good, clear, useful information. He does not believe in ambiguity. I am having to share my diet info with other WLS patients because their surgeons don't care enough to get them the info they need. His surgical competence is better than his bedside manner but I didn't use him to be his friend, I wanted the best surgeon if I was having surgery. His bedside manner is fine, he is very nice, don't get me wrong, but just not why I used his services. Posted on 10/07/2008 |

I attended an information session with Bariatric Solutions and Dr. Eric Bour on December 20, 2007. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with their program and came away with an abundance of information and a better understanding of exactly what is involved and what is expected if, in fact, I elected to proceed with this new venture...new chapter to my life. I have read all of the testimonials from other's that were as impressed with this as I am and because of their faith and confidence with Dr. Bour, I am convinced that he is the surgeon for me and the one that I would trust my life to. I have decided to make this first step and have an enrollment appoint for the 2nd week of January 2008. I have a very good feeling about it.

Dr. Eric Bour is one the best surgeons in the upstate. Well, I think he is the best. He really cares about his patients and wants what is best for them. I really like him. He has a good sence of humor too. Some say they don't like his bedside manor it's probably because they aren't being compliant. He will let you know if you aren't. I have had a very positive experience with Dr. Bour from the beginning. I have heard horror stories of how he can be very mean but he has been nothing but nice to me. I think he is great. He is very focused on his job and the care of his patients. If he gets tough on anyone, it is because he has to for the person's well being. If you aren't doing what you are supposed to be doing, you will hear about it. And you should because you are only going to cause yourself problems if you don't follow directions.
All of the staff have been great as well. I haven't come across anyone I didn't like or anyone that wasn't compassionate for obese people.
Aftercare is essential and this staff makes that very apparent. They are with you every step of the way and make sure you progress well... [Click here for more] and make sure you are not deficient in anything.
Overall, my review of Dr. Bour and his staff is - EXCELLENT.

At first I didn't know he was the surgeon b/c I came in late for the seminar. I liked him immediately. Once I realized who he was, it was even better! He had all the information I was curious to know.

I would say so far they are providing everything I wanted and needed. Support groups, getting back to me when I call, answer all my questions, etc.
