My first impression of Dr. Macura was that he was gentle ,soft spoken ,and experienced he answered all my questions and I felt at ease when I left the clinic,office staff are the nicest people,they were happy with me and it felt good.Future patients should know they want you to get the surgery as fast as you want it,but you have go to the prosses they require. All I will say is that I wouldn't wish Dr. Macura on anyone. He runs a bypass factory and all he's concerned with is $$$.
I had the surgery 5 years ago - and because of him have had to endure multiple repair surgeries and am now living with chronic pain.
I wouldn't wish him on anyone.

Dr. Macura is a very professional person when I met him right away I felt the good vibes. He went over the whole process in full details and made sure that all my questions were answered and that I was in good knowledege of what he was explaining. His office staff is very nice they treated me very well. The one to stand out more was ANNA she does an excellent job.I liked his professionalism as well as his staff. I would recommend Dr.Macura to anyone who is doing WLS. On a scale of 1-10 I would give Dr.Macura a high 10 very well deserved. Posted on 12/04/2007 |

My first impression of Dr. Macura was that he was genuine and was very patient to explain every detail about the Lap Band surgery. He even drew pictures to show how the Band is placed and how many and where the incisions would be placed. I was really taken aback by his demeanor. He was GREAT! He has a great WLS program and his staff is AWESOME!!! In my book, he is the BEST and I would recommend him with no reservations. I am so happy that he is my Lap Band doctor! Posted on 03/07/2007 |

My, what a nice man! I was impressed with his ability to answer ALL OF my questions before I could ask them (please believe that I came fully prepared with a list of 15 questions). Very mild mannered and he seemed sincere in wanting to do what's best for the patient. Very professional, yet personable.
UPDATE: 5 1/2 months post-op and I love my surgeon, Dr. Macura (Dr. Sherwinter. is cool, too...he normally does my fills)

this surgical practice is wonderful...Dr. Macura is absolutely wonderful...they don't hesitate to take the time to talk to you..about any concerns or problems...the staff is exceptional..and the entire process with this office has been pain free and terrific!!
Sandra..the nutritionist is very well informed and will spend time, and council anyone who needs..she also offers once a month group meetings.
after care..not sure about this...have had my 2 week check up and was told to come back in 2 months...but I am having NO problems..NO vomiting..no major pains..am feeling pretty good...eating with no problems..my incision is looking excellent...healed and tight.
in the hospital...Dr. Nacastro was in every day...spent as much time as I needed...was comforting..and a face I got... [Click here for more] to look forward to seeing (sorry..dr. McMullen was on vacation..otherwise I am sure I would have seen her too!)

A very good friend recommended Dr. Macura and I was very impressed by his web site. Well yesterday 12.01.04 I met with Tina the PA of Dr. Macura's office I was very impressed with their clinic. I have decided that Dr. Macura will be the surgeon of my choice. The staff at the office was very kind. Tina explained the whole procedure to me (the pro's and con's) and I felt at ease. I was also assigned a personal assistant Jodi. Though I haven't had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Macura I am still very pleased with his staff, and look forward to working with them. Yesterday, January 18th I finally met Dr. Macura personally. He was very kind. He took his time to explain the entire procedure to me. He even explained the pro's and con's of the surgery. He allowed me to ask questions and... [Click here for more] was very patient explaining the answers to me. I know that I will be in excellent hands as I make my way to the loser's side.
