I really like Dr. Mason. He's always been great about answering questions and taking care of problems quickly. His staff, especailly his nurse Carla are Awsome. We had problems with the insurance company approval and they kept working it until the Insurance said yes!
Aftercare and followup, are extremely important. Dr. Mason is part of the St. Jospeh's bariatric program which is excellent in it's pre and post op education and information. Posted on 10/23/2008 |

Dr. Mason inspires confidence. His reputation is flawless and I am so glad I was referred to him. I had the sleeve (VGS) so I was very nervous but I just knew the sleeve was the right operation for me. Posted on 10/23/2008 |

I think Dr. Mason is a wonderful surgeon. My whole experience with him and his staff has been great. He talks to you and shows real concern with how you are feeling and progressing. He explained everything about the surgery and addressed the risks of surgery. I always felt like I was in good hands. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to have the VSG procedure. First appointment is 6/30/2008. He did my husband's hernia repair 10/2007 and I liked his bedside manner. Posted on 06/26/2008 |

My first impression of Dr. Mason is that he was very professional. He was not into the business of "selling" weight loss surgery. He just gave the facts. He is a very kind man. He always pats my shoulder or arm when he sees me. He is truly concerned about his patients. His office staff is great. Shelly is almost always available to talk to right away, or gets back to me quickly. She knows her stuff. Carla is a very compassionate nurse and wants you to feel better soon. She will do whatever she can to help you. Everyone made me feel as if I had known them a long time. Posted on 05/09/2008 |

My first impression was that he was young!...lol...but I liked him right off. You could tell he was there to help his patients. He is very concerned about the well being of his patients. His office staff is FANTASTIC!!! They too just want to help you an anyway possible. They have made my experience much easier. Future patients should know that they will not only be getting an excellent surgeon but a caring one. He does emphasize aftercare but it is mostly handled by his nurse practitioner & nurses, wich are all great! He was very up front about the risks. Overall Dr. Mason & his staff is a perfect 10.! Seemed quiet and professional upon first impression. I thought maybe too quiet, then I hung around after the seminar, he and the staff really took personal interest in helping me find a surgeon right for me, since he thought he could not be mine due to my low bmi. When those "in-house" rules could be changed, he got me in and we moved forward. I felt lucky to have found someone who remembered my needs and actually went out of his normal routine to get me the care I wanted. Right here in my town. I would have had this done anywhere I could, but local was great.
Office staff great. Really like the education and fill staffers. Their experiences are comforting and priceless. This was a perfect experience. I am a RN, so may be a little more "picky"- just what I needed - not... [Click here for more] too much -nothing lacking.
