My first impression of Dr. Moran is that he was patient friendly, concerned about any questions I might have. My impression has remained the same. His staff is also very friendly and easy to talk to. I can't think of one thing that I least like about him. Future patients should know that he is very experienced. He really emphasizes after care. I attend the support group meetings they have once a month in which they usually have a guest speaker. This month the psychologist is speaking on how to cope through the holidays. Dr. Moran's office was very upfront with the risks associated with surgery. I would rate him a 8.5. His bedside manner and surgical competence is great. Posted on 11/20/2008 |

My impressions of Dr. Moran come only from attending his seminar. Dr. Moran seemed very soft spoken. I was glad we sat near the front, so we could hear him. He was very direct and to the point. He seemed very knowledgeable and did not sugarcoat things. He answered all the questions people asked and did not seem at all judgmental, which was nice. There really wasn't anything I didn't like about him. His nurse Janelle was very sweet and knowledgeable as well. JoAnne, another of his office staff, was kind as well. I felt comfortable talking to all three of them. All three of them emphasized aftercare. It was nice to hear from JoAnne because she had had WLS. I like the fact that they have a support group that meets once a month. Overall, I was very impressed with Dr. Moran and his staff.... [Click here for more] This was just my first impression. If my opinion changes after my first appointment I will let you know.
11/11/08 I had my initial appointment at Dr. Moran's yesterday. I was so impressed. Everyone was super nice from the time we walked through the door. I was actually early for my appt., but didn't have to wait long. I saw the PA Katie, Nurse Janelle, Jenny (the financial lady), and Michelle. They were so kind and helpful. Michelle got on the phone right after my appt. and was able to schedule all my labs and stuff for 2 days later. Jenny took care of scheduling my appts. with the nutritionist and psychologist. Everyone was awesome. At my next appt. I will see Dr. Moran. They made me feel so comfortable from the time I walked through the door. The appointment went GREAT!! I can't imagine going anywhere else!!

My first impression of Dr. Moran is that he is kind of cocky and not very personable. He seems to be very knowledgeable and seems to have a "no BS" type of attitude. My first impression comes from attending the seminar...I will update this assessment after my first appointment with him on August 5th Posted on 07/16/2008 |

Dr. Moran was wonderful from day one. I first met him at the seminar and he answered all questions and explained all of the surgery types. He was very patient and took his time. I went to the seminar wanting Lap Band but chose RNY after he explained everything. One week later I went for my first appt. and took my husband with me for support. Dr. Morans staff, especially his nurse Janell Poole was very helpful and supportive. Dr. Moran came in and met with me and my husband and answered all of our questions and put me very much at ease. He explained all of the risks. What I liked most about him is he follows his patients from day one. He is the one that see's his patients at every appt. He calls you at home to check on you after surgery. He has a great bedside manner. He... [Click here for more] returns your calls when you need him. He does emphasize the aftercare program for for success and safety after surgery. I love Dr. Moran for saving my life and caring about me. To him I am important and not just another surgery patient. This is how he treats all of his patients.

My first impression of him is he is a handsome dude. He did not look like what i would figure a obesity Surgeon to look like someone old you know lol with gray hair and all lol.. But he was very young and polite. Over time it just became a thought of well he seems to be about his business and knows what he speaks. His office staff was great. They are very attentive and always listening and taking notes on all you tell them to give you the best service. I am just getting started with him so the rest of this info will have to wait as we go along towards getting the surgery done. Posted on 02/17/2008 |
