i went to see Dr. Warnock for my first consultation on 8/16/08 and i have to say he is the most nicest, compassionate, caring Dr.! Being big has not been easy for me , i have been big all my life and not to say its embarrasing sometimes when you have to see certain dr.s for certain things and they act like they dont care about u as much as the other patients because u are big. i had that experience this past monday with another dr. and i cried all day! But with Dr. Warnock , he makes u feel like you are a special to him, each and everytime you come in. i cant wait to have my surgery and i am glad i am sharing this journey with a Dr. that cares.
Sincerely,
Misty Davis :O) Posted on 08/20/2008 |

Words can't describe how wonderful this man is! He is a very kind and gentle doctor, he truly cares about you as a person not a patient. He goes above and beyond for each of his patients! His office staff is just as kind as he his and will d everything they can to help and make you feel comfortable. If I had to give him a number it would be well over 10 he is just AWESOME!!! So far I'm happy with my surgeon's credentials. During the 6 month diet, I would call his office to inquire on different things. I was surprised as often I called (for 6 months) and only dealing with 3 people they wouldn't recall my name or what was last thing we discussed. One employee did follow up on some crucial efforts for me. But, here at the end I feel I'm not fully informed about what I should and shouldn't be doing. Apparently there should be some packet coming my way. I'm 2 weeks prior my surgery, would hate it if I had to reschedule. I called the other day and kinda had a small fit on the phone, and the employee said "I'm sorry" as coldly as she could have. Not feeling too comfortable about it. I could just be going thru some anxiety moments. I know for a fact this surgeon... [Click here for more] is a great surgeon. And, the staff has called back when they said they would. Just feeling a little lost I guess.

Dr. Warnock was very professional and answered all my questions the first time I met him. He explained the procedure to complete detail and it made me feel good about what would be taking place. The ladies that work in the office are very nice and helpful in all that they do. When I had surgery he was very supportive during the aftercare and he is a great doctor. I am glad that I met him and he is helping me with my weight loss. Posted on 07/23/2008 |

My first impression during my consult with Dr Warnock is that he genuinally cares about each and every one of his patients. I don't think he would have wasted 5 minutes of my time if he didn't seriously think I needed the surgery. Everyone in the office is very helpful and very knowledgeable. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes you have to wait a very long time to see him.
I am now almost 4 years out of my WLS and I still enjoy my checkups and aftercare with Dr Warnock. He is always pleasant even though he's not always been 100% happy with the way I do things. Support Groups are wonderful whenever I am able to attend them. I would still highly recommend him as a surgeon to anyone who is looking into having the WLS. Posted on 06/01/2008 |

Dr. Warnock was very sweet. He made my husband and I very comfortable. I know there is a reason for everything that happens and Lord I trust you know best! Dr. Warnock explained the procedure and why and where everything would be. He talked about risks and outcomes and told me I have to do my part! He is fantastic and I look forward to getting to know him better through this journey. The only thing I did not like was that we were waiting to see him for an hour after my appointment time, but this doc is certainly worth the wait Posted on 05/24/2008 |

I liked Dr. Warnock from the first time I met him, but he did seem just a little too friendly. So far I am really beginning to like him. Everyone is very nice and glad to help. I know that he doesn't probably even know this but he made me feel a little inferior. Everyone needs to know that he really is available 24 hours a day. He gives his home number and cell phone number. I think the aftercare for Dr. Warnock means more than anything else. He was upfront about any dangers to the lap-band surgery. He is very nice but a little stuffy. He really has a great bedside manner but I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about his surgical competence. Posted on 05/17/2008 |

THIS IS THE VERY BEST SURGEON IN THE UNITED STATES! If you are blessed with the opportunity for this man to help you, JUMP at the chance!! Dr. Warnock is NOT your regular type of Doctor. He actually cares about his patients, and takes time to explain thoroughly what the procedure is, how he does it, and all the pros and cons about what can and cannot happen. I am a person who asks alot of questions, and he answered all of them in his presentation for me so I did not even have to ask. I had Gastric Bypass August 17, and so far, I am doing really really well. People are very good at telling you negative things that happened to their Auntie Sally, or friend, or etc. etc. but I believe with all my heart that Dr. Warnock is the best there is. He is gentle, kind, patient, totally... [Click here for more] professional, and very very cautious, and thorough. For me, I follow his directions EXACTLY, and so far, I have not had any problems. My incision has healed very well, a small thin cut that over time I am sure will blend in. I feel strong, I already can breathe better, and I call his office, and his staff all the time asking questions about everything. They are ALWAYS very kind, and supportive. He is a wonderful surgeon. His staff at the hospital was wonderful. I did not have one negative experience. I know it is scary to think of going through this, but I can honestly say, it has already been a blessing to me a week out. I believe Dr. W God's instrument to help heal obese people. Go see him, meet him, and let him help you help yourself. It is the best decision I ever made for myself and my family. GOD BLESS YOU! Update: 4/04/08 from 282 to 145! Dr. Warnock is a life changing, life giving Angel! TThanks Dr. W!!!
There are not really many pictures of me, not the way I used to be. It is true it is kind of sad, but I could not take pictures, cuz I felt too bad. I was fat, yes it is true. I was big, and sad and blue. The real me was always there...hidden behind my size of a bear. I wore big shirts, and tried to hide...I shrugged my shoulders and took it in stride. I acted like I did not care...but I did and this I will share. I had the bypass in August it is true, and it is amazing what this thing can do! It gave me back my life, made me a better Mother and a better Wife! I have lost almost half of me...the half that was never meant to be. I can walk, and I can breathe...there is so much of life that I can seize. I eat to live, not live to eat...I can walk away and leave that cupcake in defeat! I am so happy Dr. Warnock saved my life...I will forever be grateful I went under his very skilled knife! So, if you are thinking of surgery, but are scared to go through...oh my beautiful friend it is the best thing you could ever do! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!!! Kathleen Louis 2/20-08

I've never met a more compassionate and caring Doctor in my life. Dr. Warnock has been in the saddle at Bariatrics of Texas for many years now and still, he loves what he does and is arguably the best in his field! It comes across (to his patients) in so many ways. From that smile and powerful hand shake, to his sincere ability to listen. My gosh that is so important. How many good listeners are left on the planet, let alone those that are highly educated? Dr. Warnock is a master at listening and has a prompt and insuring way of getting his point(s) across. You better listen because he wastes no words in the English language, so what he says...COUNTS!!! Most men describe another man as, honest, hardworking, caring, tough, smart, and the list goes on, with the exception of sweet!!!... [Click here for more] We save that for the ladies. However, without any qualms, I say Dr. Kenneth M.R. Warnock is all of the above and he is a very sweet and compassionate man to boot! Keep on going Doc, your the man!
Your friend,
Bobby Thompson
