Quiet , he takes as much time as it takes he is rarley rushed or it never seem that way .Always willing to clarify any questions I had . He is serious and a consumet professional with an easy smile .His staff is pretty much the same not for one moment did I ever feel I wasn`t important or that I was just another patient.About a month or so after my bypass I hernaited discs in my lower back ...and most of my care givers from my bypass came into the hospital to see me and help me feel better Even Doctor O`Donnell came in and sat with me for a bit, he heard I had been there and ohhh myyy that was sooo nice of him .He even had the cafateria bring me a sugar free popcicle. There really wasn`t anything I didn`t like about him .What I would say to someone choosing a Doc you have to like... [Click here for more] Him /Her trust your gut feeling learn all you can about what you want here ... After Care is included in the program from diet on down to anything that goes on with you ...There are numbers to call at any time for help in what ever problems may arise and they are prompt in returning calls .When Doc O`donnel and I sat down to discuss the risks of what I was venturing into he was ultimately serious with me and clear on all aspects I was also well educated by being in the program and kinda knew what was coming but to hear it from him really did drive it all home for me .Hearing the words from him kinda scared me and made me realize how much he cared about what I was venturing into ...I would say Doctor O`Donnel is a consummate professional in the Operating room and at bedside .Once again you as an individual need to weigh all possibilities and do what is right for you if you don`t click with your surgeon find another that is your right I have seen many docs in my life and moved on if I didn`t like what was going on there .Its your life you are working on saving you need to what is right for you .No matter what .

He's very kind and knowledgable. He was thorough and genuinely concerned with my health. His staff are similarly competent and sympathetic. He is not chatty and can best be described as a quiet professional. I would rate him as an excellent surgeon. Posted on 08/21/2004 |

His office and demeanor are quite professional. I felt much better/confident in my decision after meeting with him. He explained the surgery well and made sure to ask twice if I had any questions. I liked my surgeon very much, Immediatley I knew he cared about his patients, He was always very professional but very human and approachable.

He's not a very chatty person, but he is very friendly and kind, very comptetent, dedicated to patients. He always made rounds 2-3 times a day to see me, plus I would see the other members of the surgical team 2-3 times a day. Posted on 08/31/2003 |
