It only took one office visit for me to feel completely comfortable with him. Besides my primary care physician highly recommends him and I trust her so I know I am in good hands.
Dr. Singh is awesome! I had a few minor complications in my surgery and it had to be re-scheduled. He was extremely accomodating to my needs and changed the date to fit within my schedule limitations. Posted on 06/17/2009 |

Dr. Singh is the best. He makes me laugh all the time. I feel safe with him. He's the only surgeon I know, and he has set the standard for me. I had my surgery June 2008 and I still remember the day after my surgery Dr. Singh came about 7:30 AM to check in on me. He does that for every patient, but it was so personal to me. He answers all my questions at every visit, and boy do I have questions. I drive him nuts I know I do, but he always greets me with a smile. One day I saw him outside the office. He said "I think I know you" I said - you know me inside and out. We laughed. His staff is wonderful. Mary is a "God-sent", Felisha is wonderful too. Actually, everyone at the office is great. On a scale of 1 - 10, Dr. Singh is a 15! Posted on 03/02/2009 |

In September 2006, I had the bariatric procedure and Dr. Singh was my surgeon. From the initial seminar, pre-surgery preparation tasks, through the surgery's completion, Dr. Singh's professionalism and confident manner kept going and kept me hopeful. I am in healthcare and work at another area hospital that offered bariatric surgery and I chose St. Agnes and Dr. Singh because of their reputation and the length of experience with the procedure. The care received at St. Agnes was exceptional... so much so, I wrote a letter to administration telling them about it. The office staff were great too... they seem to know most people on a first name basis, Making each patient feel important and heard. My surgery was, as Dr. Singh told me at my first appointment, "a life changing experience".... [Click here for more] I've lost over 130 pounds which was half my body weight. My BMI is now 21. So, in conclusion, I have nothing but glowing words for the Bariatric Program and staff... especially Dr. Singh, who's added years to my life.
THANKS!

I had gathered information on several surgeons and hospitals in the Baltimore/Washington area before deciding to have my surgery with Dr. Singh and St. Agnes Hospital. My first impression occurred before I even met Dr. Singh...I sent an email to his office. I expected to hear back from someone on his staff but instead I received a personal reply from him so we were off to a good start.
I met Dr. Singh at one of the monthly intro meetings held at St. Agnes. He is very warm and personable. He likes to deliver his message with humor, which is totally my style. But don't let it fool you, he does not mince words, he gives it to you straight. Favorite Quote: "People, you must change your evil ways" (or surgery will not work for you.)
His staff is very nice too...Mary, Wanda... [Click here for more] and Felicia. If there is any criticism, it would be the recent split of the office of Dr. Singh and Dr. Averbach. They currently share RN Cathy Carr-Dadin and the resources at St. Agnes. The Doctors split their practice while I was in the middle of my journey. There was/is an awkwardness about it. I have concerns how this might affect future care as far as their shared resources are concerned. Also, Dr. Singh's Fulton, MD office is very nice and his alone (so far), however, his new Wilken's Ave office is shared with other doctors (not bariatric) and is kind of busy and hectic. I'm concerned having 2 offices may prove to be too much to keep up with for Dr. Singh and his staff.

Love him! I couldn't be in better hands - and I was impressed with the fact that he could be professional and also be humorous.
I am assuming that because I didn't need pain medication after leaving the recovery room that he did exactly what was supposed to be done, or I'm just a tough person, but I think it has a lot to do with his expertise and skill.
The only downside was that he has moved his office. I had chosen him for the fact that he was at Geipe Road when I picked him to be my surgeon earlier this year. Fortunately, he has some location nearby the hospital but I don't know if it's a full time arrangement or if it's a temporary change and he'll ultimately be in Maple Lawn all the time. I'll find out when I go back on the 29th.
The office staff are great, sometimes... [Click here for more] they get a little rushy - but if you hold still, they'll warm up. They do get the job done.

My first impression of Dr. Singh was that he was very laid back. His staff was excellent everyone answered all my questions they were so helpful and kind. Dr. Singh gave me his cell number is always available for any problem he visted me in the hospital 2 sometimes 3 times a day. He truly cares about his patients. I am so glad I decided to have him perform my surgery. I would recommend him to anyone considering WLS. Posted on 11/13/2008 |

My first impression of Dr. Singh was that he was a funny guy, a jokester. I went to one of his seminars and he was very personable, taking time to answer what I now know must be mundane questions. Over time, my appreciation for his good naturedness increased. He answered all of my questions (sometimes twice) and was available before and after my surgery for anything needed. His office staff is superb. He works with a nutritionist who has been of great help to me through my journey. His bariatric coordinator makes sure we keep our food diary and knows how to deliver tough love in a gentle way. Dr. Singh emphasizes after care. His office holds a support group meeting once a month and patients are told they are welcome to come into the office anytime they need. There have been... [Click here for more] times when I went in between appointments to get an accurate weight for myself and was always greeted warmly. I was told of the risks of my surgery beforehand and had the opportunity to talk to both my surgeon and my PCP about them to make sure I felt comfortable. Overall, I would say that Dr. Singh is a first class surgeon.
