When I met Dr. Pupkova, I knew right away SHE was MY Surgeon. She was warm, open, very informative and a great listener. I felt as though I has known her for sometime even though we had just met. Her staff and office was like no other I has ever been in. The office was very clean and organized and the seats very accommodating. If you ever have a question it is quickly resolved, and everyone is so thorough.I have one month from today to reach my surgery date (Sept. 1, 2010). And so far everything is on schedule. Excellent! The level of care that this physician provided and continues to provide to me is on a level that I cannot even describe. People look for the doctor that smiles or the one that fluffs. I wanted the one that was skilled, concerned and had my best interest at heart. Thank God that's exactly what I got. She has been wonderful. You don't have to call some answering service when you're having trouble, you call her directly anytime of the day or night. I couldn't have asked for anything better! Posted on 04/08/2010 |

At first Dr. Pupkova seemed cold and hard to understand. But when we ended our first meeting she gave me a hug and I was deeply touched. She took about an hour to review the entire procedure and details with me. She didn't rush me. I appreciated her taking the time to address and comfort my concerns. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give her a 10. She is professional yet has a wonderful bed side manner. I really appreciated the follow up call she gave me post op to make sure I was doing ok. Experienced surgeon with lots of knowledge to share. She had a lot of patience answering my questions and I felt very comfortable with her. I am looking forward to surgery. The day I attended a seminar with Dr. Pupkova, I knew she was the right Surgeon for me. She knew her stuff and answered all of my questons that day and during my initial consultation. She is very confident and a no-nonsense kind of person. She tells you what you need to know and what you have to do to be successful. All of the information that she provided was to the point. My surgery went very well with no complications. She visited me within a couple of hours of my surgery (she was performing others after mine). She came back both days of my hospital stay. In addition to her Office phone number, she gives all patients her personal cell phone number to contact her if needed. Every appointment and meeting is ended with a hug. Dr. Pupkova has been amazing, she thoroughly reviewed the risks, benefits, what to expect, how to keep myself feeling as good as possible immediately after the surgery. She called me directly after the surgery to ensure that I was doing well and availed herself. I am 16 days post op and have not had any complications - I was truly prepared with all of the information, foods and tools that I would need post op I would highly recommend Dr. Pupkova.rnrnI will tell you that she will push you - to walk and exercise while still in the hospital and to not rely on sugar substitutes (no ice pops, crystal light, etc., ) so that you are not trying to have things the "same" as before surgery - prepare to be pushed, but it is the right push. Dr. Pupkova's heavy accent, which I believe is Russian, and her demeanor, was a little intimidating at first, but she is actually a warm and caring doctor who only wants the best for her patients.rnI have felt rushed at times with her office staff, but I think it depends on the type of day they're having. Having worked in a Surgial office myself, I know things can get hetic!rnI would recommend Dr Pupkova. I had no problems after my surgery and still continue to do very well, so her Surgical Competence is excellent. Like I said, her demeanor might be taken as "standoffish" but she really is not. I absolutley loved Dr. Pupkova. She is very patient and kind all though she is all business. She takes the time to explain what will happen and what to expect. She came in every day when I was in the hospital and even sent me home with her cell phone number. If you are in the PA area, I would seek her out @ The Barix Clinic, Langhorne, PA.
