I am unhappy about my experinece with not only doctor davidson, but the WLC in general. I had an ongoing infection that I feel was "passed aside" as no big deal from moth to month. Only one doctor knew what was going on and the ladies at the front desk gave me hassles when I asked to see the surgeon opposed to one of the other docs in the office... which led me to seeing docs multiple times that had no idea what was going on with my infections and I feel finally led to the removing of the band. I intend to seek legal representation in these matters. Posted on 08/15/2008 |

He's really cool down to earth and a lot cuter in person then in his picture online. He explained everything in detail and his expectations of the surgery and what my expectiations were to be. He didn't hesitate to answer any questions that I had for him and he said that it would be ok to give him a call if I had any questions later. Posted on 03/20/2008 |

First impression of Dr. Davidson was a favorable one. He was down to earth taking the time to explain what to expect prior, during and after the surgery. He clearly explained all risks and communicated percentages for his practice versus that of national average. The surgery itself was clearly explained and all questions answered. His presence was known throughout the hospital stay beginning with pre-op and continuing throughout the hospital stay. There is a structured aftercare plan and monthly support group meetings. Overall, I would highly recommend him.
The office staff..well...that is another story. I wouldn't use the term "warm and fuzzy" by any means to describe them. Throughout my dealings with them, I have been continually amazed at their lack of professionalism.... [Click here for more] They seem to be friendly with one another but the smile stops there. They were not overly pleasant. There were several times that either myself or my husband could not get a return call from them. Additionally, there were times that we were told that paperwork had been submitted only to find out when we called about it, the paperwork was just then being done. (the insurance company verified this suspicion) We tolerated what we perceived as incompetance in them because of our strong confidence in Dr. Davidson and our desire to have him do our sugeries.

Dr. Matthew Davidson was the surgeon when I had my gall bladder removed last April. He's very handsome and friendly. He was very informative and eager to answer any questions I had. Posted on 11/06/2007 |

Dr. Davidson was a wonderful surgeon... very handsome and kind. Made me very comfortable with my decision and did a great job... if I do say so myself..
I have since moved away from the area but would definitely recommend him. Posted on 05/09/2006 |

Dr Davidson is a very caring, friendly and comforting surgeon. I have only grown to appreciate him and his abilites more and more over time. The office is always available for any questions or concerns and do it with an eager smile. I saw him almost everyday after my surgery and I could tell he genuinly cared for my well being. Dr Davidson is an excellent surgeon, I trusted him with my life in having this procedure chosing him, and I would do it all again. The post op is painful, emotionally and physically. I am 1 1/2 weeks post op and am very excited about my future. Rating Dr. Davidson on a scale of 1-10 , he gets an 11. He has wonderful bedside manner and competence. Posted on 06/30/2005 |

He is young and handsome was my first impression to be honest. But he made full eye contact and answered all my questions honestly. He was reassuring and nice. He drew a diagram of the surgery and spoke at my level. The staff at the Weight Loss Clinic in Harrisburg is EXCELLENT. It has been a very good experience. Posted on 04/29/2005 |

The first thing I thought when I met Dr. Davidson was "WOWZA!!! How can I even contemplate letting this guy see me on the operating table?" LOL! Yes, he is adorable, but seriously, Dr. Davidson seems very knowledgeable about his specialty and really knows how to make you feel comfortable (while you're drooling all over your shoes...). He was very thorough in explaining exactly what was going to happen to me during the surgery and afterwards. He took the time to answer my questions and did not make me feel like I was being "hurried" at all. Of course, this also meant that he was running about 45 minutes to an hour behind when I arrived for my appointment. I would rather wait then be rushed though, so I didn't mind too much.
The entire staff at the Weight Loss Clinic has been nothing... [Click here for more] short of wonderful! They are very helpful and always take time to answer any questions you have... They are not afraid to fight for their patients either... which I thought was a HUGE plus!
My experience so far with the Clinic has been positive and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for WLS. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have regarding this practice. I am happy to answer them the best I can. :)

Dr. Davidson seems to be a pretty friendly and confident guy. We had a nice talk during our review of the procedure... not only about the surgery, but about weightloss in general. He explained the major and minor complications that may result from this surgery. He took the time to answer all my questions and seemed to be very straight-forward and honest. The EGD with him went well. It appears that he is the youngest and newest surgeon at the Weight Loss Clinic, but I feel comfortable with him considering the number of surgeries he's performed. There was certainly no wait for a surgery date... only three weeks out from when I had my final required meeting with the staff nutritionist. More info to come after my 5/6 surgery date!
