I really liked MS from the begining (at the seminar) and decided to go with him right away. He has a great laugh and sense of humor that I knew would help me out!
His staff has been wonderful also.
MS is VERY strict, but he gets great results - and isn't that what we all want? Posted on 11/12/2008 |

Dr. Srikanth is knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate, and personable. He also has a great sense of humor and a booming laugh. I met him for the first time on 10/06/2008 at his free seminar (I had known of him and researched him specifically and WLS options for over a year prior to the seminar). The day after the seminar, I got a call from his office and was able to set-up my consultation on 10/18/2008. Because I am self pay, I took in a cashier's check for a deposit into his office this morning and was able to set my surgery for 11/19/2008. Dr. Srikanth and his staff are highly computer/internet savvy and everything flows smoothly as a result.
Pre-op, post-op - he has a structured program for everything. Dr. Srikanth is very thorough. I sent my mother, who has been in... [Click here for more] the medical field for her entire life, all of the information, including pre-op tests, etc. and she was quite impressed. Obviously at my current size, any surgery is a calculated risk. But I do my research and I think he's one of the most qualified bariatric surgeons anywhere. Just check out his Curriculum Vitae and you'll think he’s remarkable, too: http://stfrancisweightforlife.org/st-francis-hospital-weight-loss-DrSrikanth.htm .
What makes Dr. Srikanth exceptional is that in bariatric surgery he's found a true passion. He is exceedingly surgically competent as well as having one of the best "bedside manners" I've ever witnessed (and I've seen a lot of doctors, especially recently). Both are equally important considering that the WLS journey is extremely long with many peaks and valleys, both physically and mentally. You want a surgeon who will be your partner in the process.
I rate Dr. Srikanth A++ (and I don't grade on a curve).

First impression. Excellent. Washes hands before touching you. Reads your information, Office staff very friendly and knowledgeabe. Honest and thorough about risks of surgery. Overall rating : a 10/10. Both surgical competence (to establish a bond of trust) and bedside manner are equally importnat.
Emphasis on aftercare is stessed greatly. There is a support group that meets regularly.
So far, I have nothing negative to say, except that I think that $125 for any lap-band fills over 3 is excessive. (I'm an internist and I don't get that for a full history and physical.) Posted on 08/25/2008 |

Dr. Srikanth is a warm and funny surgeon. That's unusal in my experiences. He doesn't act "God-like", he treats you like you're a peer and that you have brains. Again, unusual for a surgeon!
Right before surgery, he came in to my room and introduced himself to my husband, and was warm and friendly.
After surgery, he assured me that everything was picture perfect and then assured my husband of the same thing.
He was very thorough about risks of surgery and shared with me his statistics compared to national statistics. I was already comfortable with his reputation before meeting him, but he cemented the deal.
His office has a very structured aftercare program, one in which I plan to adhere to the letter. Posted on 07/25/2008 |

My first impression was, "wow, this guy is super nice and I already love him!"...
My impression has not changed. :)
I loved the staff, everyone was nice and helpful. No one looked at me funny and I never felt self conscious. Dr. Srikanth was funny, kind, and very informative. He knew I had already gone to another surgeon and he knew that I was already educated on the LAP-BAND, so basically he just answered any questions I had, thoroughly. Afterward, he gave me a list of the tests that he wanted me to get done prior to surgery and after going over them with me, his nurse came back in and answered any questions I had. Overall, everyone on staff as well as Dr. Srikanth made me feel comfortable and sure of my decision. Surgical competence and bedside manner were both wonderful. I... [Click here for more] cannot tell you how great it was to feel normal around someone instead of like a great, big, giant cow. He made me feel better about everything. I recommend Dr. Srikanth to anyone in the state of WA and anyone outside of it. He is a wonderful person and a great surgeon.

He has a lot of experience and very good outcomes. He's funny and very nice. The staff is great, very professional and helpful. Some people make jokes about how long you have to wait to see him, but so far that hasn't been my experience. There is a little wait, but it hasn't been any worse than any other doc. His aftercare program is very good. Monthly visits for the first year. A very structured diet program. I would recommend him to anyone thinking about Weight Loss surgery. Posted on 07/13/2008 |

Srikanth is the best! He has been up front and no nonsense from the start. He hasn't sugar coated the process one bit and has made it clear that the only way for this procedure to succeed is for me to work hard.
On the day of my surgery Srikanth was late, stuck in traffic. I was laying there in the "holding area" waiting for him to show when I heard the sound of a trumpet coming down the hall. I looked up and there he was, making trumpet sounds with his mouth. That evening I was watching tv in my room with my dad and there it was again...trumpets. I just get a kick out of him every time I see him! I would recommend Srikanth to anyone because of proven record, excellent bedside manner, and commitment to after care.
I would have to agree with other patients that your "one hour"... [Click here for more] appointments usually turn out to be two hours. But I also agree that Srikanth cares about his patients and takes extra time making sure all questions are answered, sometimes at the expense of making someone else wait a little longer...take it from me, it's worth it.

My first impression of Dr. Srikanth was what a kind spirit and so easy going! I trusted him from the start. I have been to many seminars from different Doctors in my area and he was the only Doctor I would trust to do my surgery.
Dr. Srikanth's office staff are all very nice especially his nurse. While I was in the hospital I had a small issue and nothing was taken for granted, he ran tests and made sure I was 100% fine. I would strongly encourage people who are looking for a surgeon to speak with Dr. Srikanth HE IS THE BEST! Posted on 05/06/2008 |

Dr. Srikanth is very nice, puts you at ease and answers and encourages all questions. His staff is friendly, many have had banding or bypass, so they're familiar and can answer any questions.
I had a choice of physicians and chose St. Francis because of their bariatric focus, but chose Dr. Srikanth because of reviews on this board. Originally, I had chosen a different doc but after reading about bedside manner and probs with staff, I decided on Dr. Srinkanth. So far I've been very happy with him. Posted on 04/24/2008 |
