Dr Patrick Chiasson I attended a seminar with Dr Patrick Chiasson on Wednesday 04/28/2008 & wow was I impressed with his wisdom as well as his knowledge. I had my first consultation on April 29th after emailing Dr Chiassons website on April 27th explaining my previously canceled surgery & my devastation surrounding the sudden cancellation. His assistant Boo phoned me the next day to set up an appointment & an invitation to the seminar the following evening. His office staff especially Boo & his receptionist were so kind & pleasant . They even made arrangements for me to visit the resident Nutritionist that very day knowing that I live 200 miles from the office to save us another trip to Tucson. I had my RNY completed on August 13 2008 & I would recommend Dr Chiasson to anyone .... [Click here for more]

First impression- aloof, treated me as a "RNY" rather than a person. Later learned that his key staff member had left that week so the staff, including the Dr., was stressed. Hoping to see a change next time we meet. He's been recommended by both my primary care doctor and psych. I'd like some more warmth and the opportunity to ask questions - we'll see.    Posted on 06/29/2008

Dr. Chiasson has been thorough and very informative, as well as courteous and professional. My VSG surgery took place on February 13, 2008 and I am doing very well post-op. The Program Coordinator and the office staff are pleasant and helpful, and the aftercare program and WLS support group are excellent - I'm very satisfied with the entire program!    Posted on 02/27/2008

The following remarks are my personal impressions of my own personal experiences. I am making no statements about what other people may experience. Positive Remarks: I liked and respected Dr. Chiasson from our first meeting; this impression has only strengthened. He returns phone calls promptly. He has been concerned about my postsurgical care and believes what I tell him. There is a structured aftercare program with regular visits, lab work, consultations with Dr. Chiasson and Ms. Duke, and encouraged participation in the Tucson Weight Loss Support group (TUSWLS). He systematically and thoroughly addressed all surgical risks. On a 1 (extremely incompetent and uncaring) to 10 (extremely competent and caring), Dr. Chiasson receives a 10. I rate surgical competence higher than bedside... [Click here for more]

I would highly recommend Dr. Chiasson. He is personable, very professional, thorough, gives you the time you need to ask questions and answers them fully. His office staff is excellent and always available if you need them. He does stress aftercare and the need to attend a support group to help ensure long term success. So far, I'm two weeks post-op, I haven't had any negative experiences with him or his office.    Posted on 10/07/2006

My first impression of Dr. Chiasson was one of professionalism and courtesy. Over time I also found out that he's a bit dry, but friendly. I felt very confident with him as a surgeon. The office staff is protective of him, but all turned out to be friendly and very helpful. It's frustrating for me occasionally because Dr. Chiasson is difficult to be funny with, but I'm gonna crack him yet. The aftercare program is fantastic. Gayle checks up on my a couple times a week, always ready to answer questions, and I can go to the Doc's office once a week to weigh myself. I completely trust Dr. Chiasson's surgical competence, his bedside manner could use a little lightening up, but I ain't complaining.    Posted on 09/15/2006
