Dr. LePort is #1 in my book!!! I'm 4 year's out and Dr. LePort and his staff are still very supportive and caring. My first impression wasn't so hot. My husband and I both felt as though we were part of a herd of cattle going thru a processes and were a little skeptical. I gave myself a year to make my final decision. After the initial information meeting, all the other meetings proved instrumental to my success. The nutritional meetings gave me foundation and the nutritionists encouraged me contact them if I had questions. The support groups are outstanding. Every meeting gave me support while making my decision and after surgery I not only got support but gave support. Back to Dr. LePort. He answers your questions and cares. His staff always returns calls and will be there... [Click here for more]

I have been a patient of Dr. LePort for over a year now. My opinion of him remains the same - this is a wonderful and caring doctor. His professionalism, engaged and caring attitude and overall ability reinforce that I made a good decision in choosing him. I see him for my checkups. On the few occasions I have had to see one of the PA's he makes it a point to at least pop in and see me. I feel comfortable asking any question and he encourages his patients to ask, ask, ask. He wants you to be informed and educated about your proceedure. The entire office staff and support medical staff are also exceptionally friendly.    Posted on 10/07/2008

My surgeon was a colleague of DR Leport but worked under a Dr Leport and Dr Leport was present at my surgery. At first I seemed with my choice. I did reaeach on his group and thought I made a well informed decision. But it was one of the worst decisions I made. I had complications after my roux en y open from the start. Dr Leport took over my care right away. At first I felt he was trying to find answers but the longer the time of complications the less help was given to me. I got the impression that he felt I was a mar on his reputation and I started getting shotty medical care. I had to go out and find another bariatric doctor that could possibly help. More time more traveling more tests. I stopped going to Dr Leports office because I was just a body and treated like commodity... [Click here for more]

First impression of Dr LePort was good, he seemed like a person who cares about his patients. My impression never changed, his office staff are pleasant and caring. He has many year of expeirence as by researching you will find out for youself. He addresses all areas and risks of surgery and explains everything involved. Dr LePort was great, after surgery and during the time I was in ICU he came to see me 5 times and explained what was going on with me body.    Posted on 06/12/2008

I like him and felt very confortable with him. Still like him. The staff is very caring, helpfull and supportive. There was nothing I did not like. He is very nice. He is very strict on your after care. Yes he does have a structured aftercare program. He was very clear at explaining the risks of surgery. I would rate him Highly. Both are good.    Posted on 03/28/2008

At first i thought Dr.Leport was rude because i felt rushed but then i realized that he must be a very busy man. After my surgery, he would come into the hospital room every day to check up on me. I felt more comfortable with him and felt ok to ask him any question. I liked that he would take his time and answer everything. His staff was wonderful too. They made me feel comfortable all the time. I've seen him about 3 times since my surgery and he's been very caring. I'm glad i chose him to perform my surgery.    Posted on 02/07/2008

Dr LePort was and is great! (I still have to see him for my checkups.) He was very patient, and never rushed me, he was willing to take the time to answer any questions I had. He is, of course, a very good surgeon. I have nothing negative to say.    Posted on 01/01/2008
