My first impression of Dr. Chin was good. He is a man of few words, though, so if you plan on chatting extensively...
His office staff is friendly, competent, and efficient.
His group has an organized aftercare position.
His surgical competence is better than his bedside manner, but there are lots of others to comfort me. I wanted a competent surgeon. Posted on 08/12/2008 |

I thought Dr. Chin was great. He was very patient with me and answered all of my questions. Even postop he was very kind and even though I am sure he gets the same questions every day, he never made me feel rushed. If I had to do over again, I would choose him again. Posted on 08/07/2008 |

I heard my surgeon was not good with his bedside manner. I knew that was fine because he was probably more focused on my surgery than holding my hand.
My first meeting went well. His bedside manner was professional, informative and honest.
The office staff was awesome. The surgery went well. I was very impressed with the small clean scar. Beautiful.
The hospital nursing staff was terrible - thank God I'm low maintenance and independent! The lady I roomed with had a hard time adjusting. She had problems all day long. I'm sure it had to do with her not following her surgeons 'rules.'
I could have used follow-up phone calls. They offered support groups in the area but I live outside the area and in another county and it was difficult to travel to a group because of... [Click here for more] time and traffic.

I was very happy with Dr. Chin. He was very nice and anwsered anything I asked. i came in with a major list and I was told to read every single one of my questions with no problems. dr. chin was great from beginning to end and beyond. every single thing about the surgery was professional and thorough. he was extremely nice, made me feel comfortable, answered all of my questions, addressed all of my concerns, even personally called me to follow up after surgery and see how i was doing. i highly recommend dr. chin.
i heard about lite dimensions in fountain valley through a friend and am so happy i had the surgery there. my mom and a friend of mine had it in two different places in the los angeles area and neither place offered the same care, support, or information. i definitely felt very educated and ready going into the surgery.
i really don't have any complaints about the experience. they did do more extensive testing than any other place, but i... [Click here for more] thought that was a positive rather than a negative. oh, the only thing that was silly was the really, really long psychiatric evaluation everyone had to fill out.

Dr Chin is the greatest. From day one he was patient and concerned that he answered all of the questions I had. I am more impressed with him each time I see him. Being in pratice with Dr LePort and the knowledge the two of them have relieved any worry I had.
When you call the office with a question or concern, if I had to wait for a call back the longest wait I ever experienced was 10 minutes. I called my sons pediatricians office two days ago to speak with the nurse or doctor and have yet to receive a return call.
Everybody has fears of the "what after," you are given a initial "strict diet guideline." Then a suggested guideline to follow to teach yourself how and what to eat.
The risks of suregery are explained and you are required to attend a pre surgery orientation that... [Click here for more] explains every thing. I would have to give Dr Chin and his entire office, on a scale of 1-10, an 11.

He answered all my questions. I brought a list of them so there were quite a few. He seemed very nice and professional. His office staff were very nice. My only gripe was that I was told to be at the hospital at 6am, which I was, only to find out that the surgery was schedualed at 11:30am. The hospital staff explained that this was in case one of Dr Chin's earlier patients chickened out, I would be waiting in the wings. Sitting for five hours in a hospital waiting room with nothing in my stomach but a lot of butterflies wasn't fun.
