I had worked at the hospital years back and had heard Dr. Drew's name thrown around quite a bit, so when it came time to pick a surgeon, I just went with what I knew. I'm glad I did! He was funny, warm, genuine, and very thorough. The office staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. I was told the risks of surgery and signed consent forms at my initial consult. I think a good surgeon has equal parts surgical competence and bedside manner and Dr. Drew is the epitome of that! I feel blessed to have such a talented group of people on my side. What a kind man Dr Drew is. The whole group of HealthEast Bariatric is a very caring group. Dr Drew explained everything right before the actual surgery and gave me some very good advice regarding my gallbladder. He excels in competence and bed side manner. Dr. Drew was a pleasure to meet with. He answered all of my technical questions, and even went above and beyond and told me other ways to do a specific part of the surgery and told me how he does it so I could compare. He spent a little more than an hour and a half with me. I never felt rushed or that I was asking too many questions.
Post-Op
Dr Drew was great all the way through the whole process. He walked with us to the OR and was there the whole time. He has a great demeanor and is an excellent skilled surgeon.
