As soon as i walked into the office, all the nurses said hi to me with a big smile, and not one of the fake smiles either. The Nurse that took me back and did my weight, height, and other things was especially lovely. When I finally was face to face with Dr. Boyce, it only took me a couple minutes to realize that he was the surgeon I wanted to help me turn my life around. He was really sweet and listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. He seemed to know what he was talking about and put me at ease with this. From what I could tell, he has a wonderful bedside manner. Rating this Surgeon on a scale of 1-10, I can't do because he is more of an 11. Wonderful Doctor and staff. So far, I would reccomend him to anyone and I have actually already reccomended... [Click here for more] him to 2 ppl already.

Dr. Boyce was great. He is kind and thoughtful. His staff has been terrific. With all of the thorough pre-op information, there have not been many surprises. I can't think of a negative thing to say about the experience. There was one time that I called the office and no one returned my call. That wasn't great but I didn't call back either. Other than that, everyone has been attentive and caring. I am very happy so far! I am 3 months out and feel like they did a terrific job of preparing me for the surgery. Posted on 07/16/2008 |

My surgeon is GREAT, and I am very pleased with not only his professionalism but that of his entire staff. Everyone who works there is extremely nice and very knowledgeable. I had to attend a seminar and a 4 hour class to teach us what to expect and what is required after surgery. Posted on 06/09/2008 |

Dr. Boyce is wonderful and so is his staff. I really liked that he took as much time as I needed to go over all of my questions and I never felt rushed.
The aftercare program is extremely important and they like you to maintain regular visits for one full year and then once a year visits for each year thereafter.
He explained all the risks but I felt very confident and his complication rate is very low compared to the national average.
I would rate him a 10 overall.

I met Dr. Boyce at the seminar last night, spoke with him for a few minutes, and I have to agree with everyone else. He was personable, knowledgeable, friendly, and compassionate. I was very impressed with him and his staff. They are already making quite an impression on me. The program he uses, though I may not love all the hoopla, seems to be very thorough and involved, which can only help with the weight loss. He's very concerned about the patient's commitment and involvement in this process - and that lets me know he's a good doc.

I cannot recommend this surgeon enough to anyone considering WLS. Dr. Boyce was the first physician I have seen in a long time who really seemed interested in me and completely nonjudgmental about my weight. He has been my third biggest cheerleader on my weight loss journey. My first two are my husband and Dr. Boyce's staff. They have an comprehensive program for your weight loss experience before, during and after your surgery. It is a strict program and one they really push for you to follow and as a result I am happy to say that I lost 120 pounds in less than a year and went from a size 28 to 8-10. What was the most impressive to me was the level of aftercare I received. I've heard so many disturbing stories of people having WLS and then being left to their own devices afterwards... [Click here for more] with dire consequences. I can assure you that this does not happen with Dr. Boyce. When you sign up with him you get not only him but a team of people in your corner. Nurses, a nutritionist, exercise physiologist and even a psychologist to help you adjust to the new life you are undertaking.
Dr. Boyce has performed surgery on me 3 times. For lumpectomy in my breast, my GBP and a herniated bowel. And every time I have had nothing but positive things to say about him and his care. Do not hesitate to call this practice!

Dr Boyce and his staff are very personable and invested in me. Anytime I have a question or needed anything they are responsive and timely.
His nurses are on call 24/7 and they are the ones that actually answer their oncall phone...you will not have to leave a message and wait for hours for a return call! That was a huge plus post op!
I am one of there number one cheerleaders!!
I am currently being followed by the nutritionist and exercise physiologist post op every couple of months with phone and email access to them for any questions or support. Posted on 01/26/2008 |

I have to admit, when I saw his picture on the website. I thought he looks like an a$$. But after I went for my consult. He was extremely nice and very down to earth. He answered all my questions and was very patient. I also went to his seminar and he just seemed so knowledgeable and smart! He has a great system for pre-operative and post-operative care.
