I met Dr Kodali on the 31st of October and found him to be a very straight forward Doctor. He spent a lot of time with me and answered all of my questions, but did tell me that he does not recommend the lap band due to where my weight is carried. he said that I should consider the RNY, but he also said that it was ultimately my decision and he would do what I wanted. My first impression of Dr. Kodali was that he was quite reserved. He was knowledgeable and compassionate. I felt comfortable with him.
He was very thourough in dealing with the risks of the surgery. Overall I would rate him a 9.5.
I had my Sugery May 5, 2006. Dr. Kodali was attentative, compassionate, approachable, and informative. As Dr. Kodali was getting ready to release me from the Hospital I started to vomiting. I was vomiting much more fluids that I consumed. So Dr. Kodali had to do a second surgery to clear and obsruction. That surgery was performed at 10:00 p.m on Monday, May 8th.
From that point on Dr. Kodali sense of attentativeness heighten. He called all hours of the day and night to check on me. I awaken one night a few days after surgery at 11:00... [Click here for more] p.m. to see him standing at my bedside. Needless to say I was impressed. Even when he was a way, and he had other doctors scheduled to cover for him, I was on his mind. He called and talked to me even when he was away.
I have never expereinced such an awesome blen of sugrical competence, bedside manner and genuine care and concern. I woud Rate Dr. Kodali as a 10+++. If you get him as a surgeon you know your health, and well being is a top priority for him.
I have nothing negative to say about my experieince with Dr. Kodali

First Impression of Dr. Kodali, very serious and nice, but detail .
My impression of him has not changed yet.
He apart of Neweigh staff very sweet and caring .
The thing I like least about him he did not smile a lot.
He emphasize after care stronly
Yes Neweigh has a structured aftercare program.
Very serious and detailed
Overall rating I would give him a 9

First impression of Dr. Kodali, Was he is a very professional man.
He answered all of my questions and did not act like my questions were a waste of time.
He laughed when I told him if he needed help during my surgery to just wake me, Since I have researched WLS surgery so much I probably could do it!
What I like the best about him, Although u couldn't tell right now cuz I am tired of seeing different docs for testing, But what I like is he orders tests to make sure your heart and everything else is okay for surgery, I may be fustrated now, But I surely know he's taking every precaution...
Aftercare at Neweigh is one thing I am so looking forward to, Everyone is great! Pre-ops, Post ops! Ya really do feel like one big family there, Excited about that!
Overall rating for now... [Click here for more] since I have not had surgery, Overall I am sure glad he's my surgeon!
